Title: Crossbow/Polearm Support build.

Hi folks, I made plans for my second character, dedicated for supporting roles.

Here are the stats:

What do you think? Only problem I have so far is the lack of PS, I either need more, or a VERY hard-hitting polearm, or other kind of weapon.

I'm all ears for suggestions, Crossbow guys, help me out, thankee.

Thanks for the Response.

I see, giving up 10 WPF.. Will that hurt accuracy, or reloading times badly? I don't have much info on crossbows.

No, it won't hurt your accuracy too much. You will lose maybe some pixels, but unless you are going to snipe from long ranges, it WON'T hurt you.

Cup1d's build is good.

If you want to snipe people down, you can use my build, too. You know, where to find it. Just for you to know: I use Long Hafted Blade with 3 PS and 0 wpf in any other weapon and I am not bouncing off, though i am hitting a bit too slow. You can always split some points to 2h/polearms by dropping from 180 wpf to 170 (in xbows).

I thought about using the Glaive. That is an effective, awesome, good looking weapon.  :)

Or, something longer, for melee backup. Who knows, it's just a plan yet.  :wink:

You'll only need 150 in crossbow, I wouldn't gimp your melee with your pole arm.

This is a little more versatile in melee, with very little xbow accuracy lost.

But he tested only up to 145 wpf.

Now i am not an expert on crossbows, just some of my personal input on plearm there:

You have high athletics, low WP in polearm and probably very light armor, since the rest of the gear has high upkeep, so take the longest polearm with high damage ( English Bill is good ) and discipline yourself to stay on its max range :) If the enemy instead of attacking, starts back-paddling, in order to trick you into getting to close - you just change to your crossbow for a half a second, and hes after you again :)
And imo its best to convert that IF to Strength and invest in PS. Or even take shield instead. Iron Flesh makes you die slower, but its better achieved with armor or shield, and as a crossbowman - you are not on "assault squad" :)

This is going to be my build next gen, but with an awlpike. Should work nicely and 8 athletics makes for nice speedbonusses on thrust attacks.
