Well so do I.
It would still be hilarious tho.

Mmmm you do raise a valid point, you'll just have to stare at your dead sexy ass, sorry :(

I put this idea up already.   Rage ensued.

Also force disable banners on friendly troops.

We also need to get rid of teamchat and the namebar that appears when you see a friendly.

Also force disable banners on friendly troops.

We'd need to actually have uniforms though, or have colored armors for both sides (As it should be).

Not necessarily. It's quite possible to discern friend or foe only by the way they move. Additionally, you have the name popup for friendlies.

Try it for a day, it's actually quite fun.

Yeah but you said "Also" as in you're also adding the "remove teamchat and the namebar" to your suggestion.

This would make it so  every round start, you'd have to memorize every single gear loadout your team has to not teamkill and if anyone on the opposite team uses the same gear, then tough shit differentiating.

Though, if nameplates are kept, I would definitely like that.

I just find the idea of banner retarded, I personally always wanted both teams to just have different uniforms, like keep armors as is but make them colored depending on the player's respective team, so if you're on the green team, everyone's armor has green to it, if you're on the white team, everyone's armor has white to it, etc.

It would actually make me teamwound much less, there's so many times where I end up killing a teammate because his white banner is on a white snow background, so I just don't see it at all.

It was someone else suggesting to remove team chat, not me. And no, you don't have to memorize the loadouts, you just don't hack at anybody's back. If someone heads in your direction with a stab chambered: his problem.

I think it would lead to a completely different, and probably much more fun, gameplay.

That would certainly force clan to adopt a more uniformed style, unless they start killing eachothers.

Without any kind of uniform (which is visible over miles), that would make Archers and Crossbows who are a bit behind the friendly lines shoot everyone. =D

1st person is not bad while shooting but it would be too cav-friendly. Battle Awareness would become a bit harder but by time it could be possible to adapt to it. Melee fighting is gonna be difficult after being used to 3rd person after more than 2 years.

+1 to force 1st person. The arguments about limited fov are a load of shit and just an excuse to keep playing in 3rd even though 3rd person fov is to big. I've always played 1st and will never change that.

Fuck you, 2nd person rules!

Just think about it; see yourself move up to the guy you are looking from and smash his head in. Glorious!

First person with the ability to glance left/right QUICKLY like q/e or somethin would be ok.

Somethin like the longer you hold q/e the further to the left or right you can look, all within the space of 0.5 seconds max for a strained look to the left or right.

I've got a thumb scroll wheel on my mouse, that would be great to be able to roll left/right to look around the first person.
