History of the House

The House of Hearts is a minor noble house of Calradia, with it's origins far to the South, along the coast. It has provided mercenary troops of footmen, bowmen and horsemen all over Calradia, despite it's few numbers, along the years of wars, although it has remained at a relativelly neutral stance with the other Lord's houses and countries. As a minor house it has no major political or military relevance within the realm.

The House of Hearts is a part of the four "Houses of Cards" of Calradia, which consists of three other minor houses, the House of Diamonds, House of Clubs and the House of Spades, all of which are related to one another. The four houses together hold the land of their founding Lord, who, in His sudden death, could not grasp the time to announce one of three sons as rightful heir to the lands He owned.

This misfortunate event led the brothers into a war for control of what, in the mind of each one, was theirs to command. Years on an ongoing war, the divided house lost whatever little power it had, dwindled in numbers and will, realizing the risk their current dispute had of stripping all three brothers of any land and power, after all, the older brother sought support with His childhood friend, now known as King Charles of Hearts, to reunite the torn apart house.

After many attempts along a year, at long last, the brothers were again reunited on their father's Manor, alongside with Charles, who had brought an agreement, their father's land would be divided equally amongst them, and although they would act independently, they would all fight under the same banner. As a reward for His efforts at bringing peace to their father's soul and their house, Charles was granted a smaller part of land as His own. Known as Charles of the Kind Heart for His caring for His servants, Charles decided to name the newly founded house as the "House of Hearts", the brothers, misinterpreting as to why He named as such, called their houses as the remaining suits of cards, the "House of Diamonds" lying Northeast, the "House of Clubs" on the Northwest and the "House of Spades" on the East, all within their father's old lands.

Yes, per deck, 1 king and queen for each house, 4 houses.
It isn't finished yet, I just made a banner and the herald, aside from the post itself for now. I wanted people's opinions before doing more on it. =D

I thought all factions plan to take over all of "Calradia" to make it theirs and "cease" its existence by making it obsolete and pointless to play on?

Ah, I'm actually too lazy to advertise for this, might as well give up. Also, the polls have spoken, it's mainly a "No gtfo". So, I'm gtfouting of this silly idea. (>_<) I never posted that, it's a lie!!! Total lie.

Okay, I've redone (more like undone), most of the first post. I'm going to keep things simpler now. I redid the herald, something on the old one seemed a bit off. Anyway, pick your favorite. :)

Well, at first there were four houses "The Houses of Cards", one of each suit (Hearts, Diamonds, Spades and Clubs) that was my original idea, now I kept only the House of Hearts (Which I belong to), would work much like the Shogunate's "Sub-Clans" (Mori, Sanada, Asakura etc.).
So, the Clan name is "House of Hearts", but it is a part of the "Houses of Cards", which includes all the others, I may bring them back if the clan goes well. Hope I answered your question. But, honestly, I just like making banners and heralds, that first big image wasn't on my original post.  :D

i like anybody doint stuff on his own and not quitting after the first failure

i'm not sure on the other hand if this will attract some people, i like the banner you use a lot, but aside from that i think people like some stories - they like to Rise, to Fall, to be knights and good or evil etc... so I'm not sure if sbdy will like to play as a "card". but if you put stress on being casual clan without any roleplaying etc. it might attract those that play just to kill and aren't worried about any background, just clanning itself.

Good point, but yes, it was meant more of as a group than a clan per say, in the seriousness department. I never played super seriously and roleplayish, people that know me know I play for the lols. =)

Still, who wouldn't want to be Sir Jack_[Your Name]_of_Hearts? Only crazy people I say. =D

It would be sort of cool if you set the banner like how you have the houses. For instance, have the Diamonds up north, Hearts south, Clubs east, and Spades west. Essentially, just switch the spades and clubs.

If we do any Strat it will be mainly just as mercenaries. It is a Minor house like I said in the fluff, we don wan be going conquer erryone for the saek of pwning peple and ruleng ovr Caldaria. =)

We are more of a Squad, with a touch of flair to it. I think... I'm not sure what we are. =o

If I can suggest some Ace trials, I'd say that you need to show a screenshot with Score board in the end of a map (when it pops up when map is changing) with your score - at least 5 kills, no need of topping or something, but at least 20 people on server. I think everyone should be able to get 5 kills within few rounds, because it is less than 1 kill/round. And will show if Ace is actually figher or just a Joker (:D)

So, I re-re-reworked on the banner. But I'm in doubt, should we use the new one or stick with the old?
The new one blends in much better with the background and is the best in my opinion, but, this is a Demokingacracy clan, so, what you guys think?

Heh, it's more because it looks awfully low quality on heraldic mail, it looks just fine in Transitional. Heraldic mail though, stretches the image a bit.

Get paint.NET (http://www.getpaint.net/). Go to your Textures folder in cRPG.

Find std_banners_c.dds.

Open it.

Paste your banner on top of the one in there.

Open Mount & Blade: Warband cRPG.

Check it out there.

Rinse and repeat.

Alternatively, you can get the .dds extension for Photoshop and do the same thing.

Thanks, but there's no need, I have all of them on my PB account, it's working fine for me. And I like to work on them myself, I'm actually improving, they look much better now, though I'm a bit tied to the card theme, so no going nuts on it, but I did make a few with varied backgrounds and different colors, I just like the simplicity of this one. =)
