nope, way too many HP for 1 slot.  How bout instead, when you press the button for the 2nd slot the shield is using, it goes into overhead coverage mode

Ie
#1 Slot Melee Weapon
#2 Heavy board shield
#3 javelins

So technically shield is in weapon slot 2 and 3, so pressing 3 would bring shield into overhead mode

The Board Shield is 2 slot isn't? It's 8 wieght so that puts it in the magic 2 slot zone.

I love that idea though digglez would be fantastic, would be great if there was a way to haul the shield over your head.

If digglez's suggestion is taken into account, that would be epic. Testudo formations would be awesome.

The Heavy Board Shield is also tremendously heavy. One of the best shields for blocking Crushthrough weapons. Even with 12 Power Strike and a +3 Great Maul there have been several incidents where a Heavy Board Shield user has blocked my overheads twice (and once, three times) in a row.
