two-handed axe = danish huscarl axe also known as the Dane Axe. easy to spot: the shape of the blade. pretty sure the crpg picture is based on following

i need a huscarl axe to go with huscarl shield. but i cant use both huscarl shield and huscarl axe since axe is 2hander....... (?)

You can use both, use huscarl, get close, sling huscarl on back, bring out the axe.
It used to be a good idea back when ranged was more effective.

Vidar means he wants to use the 2h axe as 1handed together with the huscarl shield as that happened irl.
However the 2h axes use 2 slots and if you cannot use anything else together with the 2h axes.

The One-handed War Axe has that huscarl look. Peasant weapon stats compared to the Broad 1h though. I wish the lower-tier axes had something going for them (more speed would be an obvious change), especially since the One-handed War Axe is the best-looking 1h axe.

im not sure weater huskarl's used the axe in 1 hand or 2 hands. logic tells me that they must have used it 1 hand since they had a shield. lets be honest, everything else would seem retarded IRL. im aware of gameplay >< realism paradoks but it wouldnt ruin gameplay to follow history and just add a huskarl axe similar to the fighting axe with a secondary 1h/2h mode and then just use the 2 hand axe picture for it since it really looks like a huskarl axe anyway. theres no crpg huskarl axe but theres a huscarl shield and i just think thats abit silly :)

Why not just use the fighting axe?

Sniger you must consider that the shield was there to protect the man from missiles and to pair with the sword.

lol i am using it but i think its silly its called fighting axe... i say just keep the fighting axe and then just add a huscarl axe like the above picture examble. its a fighting axe with 2hand axe picture called "Huscarl Axe" to go with the huscarl shield we already have. the 2hand is only the LOOKS and not the stats i want. in game the huscarl axe should look and function like the fighting axe.

yup, thats another thing... i would like abit more axe options. the names for the current selection is frankly completely lack of imagination with all due respect :)
