If you like reading about crossbowing in cRPG in general, check this out  :

And since you said high damage, I assume you want to use the Arbalest. Possible build, in short:

Strength: 15
    Agility: 24
    Hit points: 56

    Iron Flesh: 3
    Power Strike: 5
    Athletics: 7
    Weapon Master: 8

    Crossbow: 165-170
    Melee: The rest

Crossbows are boring and expensive. Just check the marketplace and see whats going on. everyone wants something for their crossbow. nobody wants them because ITS SUPER BORING TO PLAY THAT CLASS.
Play a thrower or cavalry if you want a fun expensive class.

Thanks but i've already red that topic and does PS do anything for archers?

Oh and Kryser opinions differ and IMO cavalry is pretty boring and im also just trying out stuff that i might like or not.

Well, if you use the Mace (for example) with 0 wpf to defend yourself, 5 PS can make a difference when it comes to knockdown and noticeably increases the blunt damage.

Now, if you plan on equipping a super cheap sidearm for simply blocking and running away, you won't need any PS. But I'm happy with 5 PS and blunt weapon myself, most people don't expect you to have a go at them when they see you as an easy melee target.

Pretty radical - I would guess that you will die fast, once spotted. 50 HP without loomed armor (I'm assuming you currently do not own any) means even one arrow can kill you, no matter where it hits.

But maybe someone else has experience with that build, you probably have time enough to decide upon the final build during leveling up.

Honestly you're better off going 140 crossbow skill, and like 90ish 2h or 1h.  You should invest some into power strike and a melee skill.  I think any ranged should have melee to be able to at least defend themselves, but even more so with crossbows (especially arbalest) considering how fucking slow it reloads.
