Title: How do some people swing so fast?

Some people just seem to be able to outswing me no matter what weapon I use.

It's called turning into the swing. When you swing you also turn your whole body (keep moving mouse to left/right) with the swing.

They may also move closer to you in such a way where turning into their swing seems even faster, and/or move away from your swing to cause you to swing slower.

Be cautious if you feel your positioning or timing is wrong.

5 things.

1. Reactions/timing/ping
2. Turning while swinging *turning into the swing
3. Hiltslashing  *moving very close while swinging + turning so the animation hits you sooner
4. Footwork
5. High wpf/agi builds and loomed weapons.

BUT. If you have decent ping less than 70 or so, you should ALWAYS have a chance to swing back after a block.
