Title: Looking for dev member (3d artist, texturer) for Project Asinus
Post by: chadz on June 21, 2012, 09:56:08 am
Hey there guys,

we're looking for someone who is interested in joining us for modeling and texturing, mostly weapons, gear/clothes, and scene props. If you're an allrounder and can do stuff like model animating, drawings and GUI design, even better

Note: this would be a serious thing, so you would have to be able to divert quite some time over several months to the project. It's meant to be financially compensating, too :)

If you're new to modeling, still in education, need something for your CV or whatever and you think you're not up for the task yet, still apply - I often like hot iron more than cold steel. (which isn't supposed to be homoerotic in any way)

if you're interested, drop me a short note at "cha dzi us (at) gm ail [döt]com", and some images of your work, and whatever else might interest me :P

Project Asinus is cRPG 2 for M&B 2. Am I right? I hope we will see something soon.

Could you please at least give the rough direction where the game is going to? Not only to please the curious members, but also for capable people you are looking for to be able to judge if they want to participate or not.

I guess it's rather obvious it will NOT be a space ship game. But what will it be? Something like Survarium, in a postapocalyptic environment? Or more like Red Dead Redemption, in an open western world?

Because, you know, some people don't like Western, some don't like Steampunk or Postapocalypse. Some like shooters, some like RPGs. Some like it skill based, other like it team based.

Tell people what they are applying to.

Tbh... After seeing Kikis pictures I don't care about Project Asinus but just wonder...

...why on earth are those weapons not already in cRPG?!

If it's going to be a shooter, just don't make it a shoebox fps like what most people do.

And this tutorial I wrote on concept painting: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/155/3/c/painting_tutorial_by_frell262-d52amuv.png

Game artist here! :) I know how to model, texture, uv, bake normals/AO, paint/build diff/spec I can also sculpt, retopo etc

I've studied anatomy for almost 10 months now, and people on taleworlds constantly ask me to make a mod that makes the males look better but I never got around to it.

I can do low poly and medium poly baked characters. Whichever is fine.

Im not an environment artist. Im primarily a weapon artist that has been learning character development.

Regardless, if this is a space game please do not contact me (unless its alien/human work). I cannot stand sci fi modeling and the entire scene is overrated garbage. If this is medieval contact me asap because ill ruin my keyboard with cum

I would use it more often if it was heavy, instead of lighter than the Sword of War.

So you're the guy who made that one huh. I always wondered about why the boot texture is like 100% base texture and no highlights/detail at all lol.

I've PMed every person who's in charge of items and got no response whatsoever.

lol I suck and it was my first MB mod ever. The maps were there (and working), it was just being retarded. I think I redid the boots material profile almost 8 times before I gave up.
