Title: Balance the fog
Post by: Noctivagant on June 19, 2012, 07:56:02 pm
I don't know whats up with the fog, its not just one team has fog and other one haven't, some team mates has no fog, some of them has.
Fog is totally retarded.

Can somebody please enlighten me about the logic behind the fog?

Main problem with the fog is while one team can't see anything other team is raining arrows on their enemy.
One team is getting lost constantly they have no idea where they are. etc etc etc.

Weather is constantly changing in game, when you enter the server there is a fog/snow/rain, 10 minutes later re-enter and no fog. Thats all, nothing special.

Yeah this has been a big problem for me and I've made threads as well as other people.

I don't mind any of the weather (well I really hate fighting at night or in the dusk/dawn, so hard to see weapons from a distance while moving on horse), but I think they should leave all weather.

The only problem I have, is that it's not constant for everyone.  The weather should be tied to the map until it goes to the next map in the rotation.  No matter when you join, the weather would be the same for everyone...

If you can't make the weather constant for everyone, then you should remove it.

You see, the weather is the same, as far as server is concerned.
For example: the server loads rain, then for the entire time that map is played, the server applies the Rain penealties, even if people join and see sunny sky.
Clients get variable weather, but the server loads the weather only once and it stays at that point.
