The D'Haran Legion

There are guilds for fighters, for mercenaries, for assassins, for guards.  This is not one of them.  This is a legion, a place for soldiers.  We are those who fight in formation, who march and follow orders as one, and who do not turn from battle.  We fight under the red banner of Rahl, and our loyalty is unquestioned.  Our goals are simple: we will conquer.  Carve the name of Rahl into your mind, join our bond of brotherhood, and conquer with us under the red banner.

             D'Hara is the east most land of the New World, which is far off across the ocean from Caladria, so only few have ever seen it. It is ruled by the gifted Lord Rahl and has been since the time of the Great War. The people of D'Hara are bonded to their Lord Rahl, protecting them from the powers of a dream walker, though they must be loyal to him for the bond to be of any use. Full blooded D'Haran's are usually blonde of hair and blue of eye. In full blooded D'Harans the bond to the Lord Rahl is stronger, giving them a more powerful sense of in what direction he is in, though it protects them from dream walkers all the same. D'Hara was a great and powerful land, and since they were, they needed all the land they could get. So the D'Haran Legion set sail across the seas towards Caladria.

             Like a hurricane the D'Haran Legions crashed into Caladria, wiping aside armies and forces with ease as vast numbers of soldiers did what they knew best and conquered all in their path.  Numerous, strong, and filled with a lust for battle, the D'Haran's seemed unstoppable.  In the name of Rahl, their master, they conquered the majority of the Rhodok lands, sweeping aside all opposition with a speed that rivaled armies ten times their size.  Yet, as inevitably happens to all who seem near to conquering the world, an alliance was formed of those both weak and strong from far and near across Caladria and that alliance pushed them back to the sea.  There they were slaughtered and dispersed.  The mountain passes that had been used to allow the initial invasion were sealed by engineers from the nations of Caladria, and it seemed the threat of D'Haran invasion had passed.

             The D'Haran threat never died.  It only slumbered.  The shattered remnants of the first legions bore children, and those children bore children of their own.  And even though the old D'Harans left their kin behind, their numbers still grew plentiful, and once more the need for conquest calls to them.  Once more the D'Haran menace descends upon Caladria, and their march shall be swift and bloody.

Devotion

The devotion is a pledge to the Lord Rahl of D'Hara, and is a powerful way for him to win and control the masses It was originally created by Alric Rahl as a defense against the power of the Dream walker that was created in the Great War. It has since then been passed down through the generations of gifted Lord Rahl.

D'Haran's living at the People's Palace go to devotion twice a day for two hours at a time (once in the mid-morning and again at evening). The only ones exempt from this are the guards on duty at the time. While in the field though the devotion needs only to be said three times when confirming a Lord Rahl. The devotion is also used as a greeting to the Lord Rahl in some instances.

Recruitment

We are always looking for new D'Haran soldiers and recruits, we are willing to offer training and support to any new members and allow good members to go straight to the D'Haran groups. D'Hara is not an immature trolling clan, and trolling or putting down other clans will not be accepted, anyone who tries to say we are better than any other clan will be dealt with immediately. Even if another clan says something rude or hostile to us, If you can't think of anything smart or polite to say, don't say anything at all.

If you want to join D'Hara, then you should:
1: Go into TeamSpeak and talk to a D'Haran.
2: PM Kryser on the Crpg forum and wait for reply.

Appearance and Equipment

Armor: Anything Red/Black or Heraldic
Shields: Any
Weapons: Any

     Recommended Equipment
     -  Swords of any kind are smiled upon
     -  Armor/Shield breaking weapons
     -  High Strength: not necessary, but helps in close combat
     -  Should carry a ranged weapon of some kind, either throwing, bow, or crossbow. Any ranged would be helpful.


We have an infantry base, but horses are permitted for cav or mounted infantry fists.  However, all D'Harans must know how to fight on the ground first.  If you fall off your horse, you are expected to keep fighting, not go searching for a new one.

Organization

The D'Haran Legions are organized into two fists of 5 members each in the regular forces or quads of 4.
Each fist is headed by a Sergeant, each pair of Fists is under a Captain. If anyone in a Fist has an issue with their group, or just doesn't want to be in a group, they only have to ask to be removed or swapped into a new one.
Quads answer directly to the Lord Rahl himself.

      The D'Haran Legion isn't only made up of soldiers in fists, there are also Mord-Sith, who have the power to take the enemy's magic, and use it against them. Mord-Sith are trained from birth, to Kill and torture. Don't get them on the wrong side, or they will get angry. The only weapon they carry is an Agiel, which has the power to inflict unbearable pain or kill with only a touch. An Agiel appears simple. It is a plain red rod, about a foot long, and about as thick as a finger. It also inflicts pain on the Mord-Sith in charge of the torture. The main job of the Mord-Sith is to protect the Lord Rahl.

Mord-Sith is for anybody who wants to make one, as long as you can block, and protect the Lord

In order to advance to the rank of Captain or above one must be active on IRC, TS and the forums.  Sergeant is achievable simply through gameplay, however use of those communications methods is encouraged for all members and will help in all promotions. And remember, Your rank isn't your skill level, it is only to keep the D'Haran Legion organized, and together.

Mord-Sith is for anybody who wants to make one, as long as you can block, and protect the Lord Rahl.

Hehehe. Few things Fuer.

First, I'm not on the Members list, active or inactive. Also, You should change my name in the Poll to ZyloRage22, as well as put me down by that name under the members list. Most people don't know me by "Zeke Rage". This way, people won't overlook my Deadliness :P

Second, Kryser and a few others aren't on the poll.

Third, I'd be more than happy to work with anyone to organize our practices and what not. We just need to figure out who's available when. Kryser suggests Friday/Saturday practices cause it's the weekend.

Fourth, I'm not sure on the Inactivity of Jeremy. I've seen him the last 3 or 4 sessions I've played, but he never acknowledged anyone. You may want to check into him.

Lots of fun last night with a lot of steady x5s seems even with out our generals we still got it :P

I ask that everyone take the time to check the D'haran free forums, register and post in the access page if you haven't already & also to be nosey and look around, we still have a list of formations/tactics that was made by one of our past generals, it would be great if we could all memorize the simple tactics.
Read the spread of responsibility for a run through on how we should be acting in-game.

I always wondered why in the title it saws new and Improved

How did DL improve now that you recruit anyone willing to join ?  We had a very selective recruiting process and we had fighting formations practices. how many did you have so far ? none ? I don't see any improvement and sadly I think we've done a very good job in the past and that "Improved" seems to be mocking us :X

Actually, I see the clan improving every day. I still play with a lot of them, and stop by the Team Speak to say hello quite often. I see them sticking together, moving as a team, quoting tactics and playing well. The fact that they are growing (even after the desertion of the founder and his generals to parts unknown (well sort of unknown) ) speaks volumes about both the quality of the D'haran Legions, and it's future. Well done guys, I'm glad to see you doing so well!

Sphinx its only been about 4 days now, and the weekend is still upon us for practice and our clan battle. Why you being so mean. It's just a thread and just a name. I like playing with my boys, and the new guys feel like they've been here a while even though for only a week. It's about having fun and getting that multi, not being cruel.  :(

I would say a HA would be best, so then you and KasperG can coordinate archer vollys from horse and foot together.
and also we have very few cav in our clan right now, so it would help everyone out a little bit if we had one more.

All valid points, Fuer. I wasn't aware that D'haran's were in such need of a Mounted Division :P. I'm definitely leaning towards the HA so far, and then after Looming the strong bow, possibly trying out the Foot build on Gen7. I've still got 4 million XP before I'm 31 on my Shielder, so it'll be a bit yet. It will give me time to process all of the suggestions on that post and make a decision when the time comes :P. np zylo, and also, Good job on the battlefeild today with ATS everybody, even if we got owned we showed up and faced them, and accepted defeat honourably. We may have lost but we now know what we need to improve on.
And thank you ATS for fighting us on the battlefeild. We hope to do this again some time for practice.

We did fine for the builds that we had on the field. DL used to be known for our throwers, and only 1 showed up. We were out ranged and out cav'd. Next time will have a more diverse group at our disposal. Was alot of fun though, hope we can do one every weekend. Maybe friday or saturday so zeke can play.

Hey guys I just asked Ecko on IRC and he told me that it's illegal to use construction sites to BLOCK off areas, but healing tents are allowed, they break easily, just don't block the ways with any construction sites. :D

So we definitely have to try Siege healing tents again at some point :P

The Quad List has been Updated!
I want all of the members to try and come on and stay on at the same times together, mainly on the weekend.
if there are members of your group that you don't feel are pulling their weight, feel free to tell me and ask for somebody else to replace them. You don't always have to play with the assigned group, the groups are mainly so that we get to know eachother better, and work towards a common goal together, as one elite squad of D'Haran Soldiers.

If your Quad is missing players for some days, you don't have to stick together with the players that are there if you don't want to. It's only for the players to get used to working with eachother more often than not. All of the D'Haran Legion  should try to work with the Quads and try to do what the Quad says on the battlefield.

well you just don't know how to do it!(It's really a support build if you're mounted. Kill enemy horses.)

Also you gotta use the maneuverable horses, Desert/Arabian, otherwise your not doing it right.

I've got an Archer alt as well. First character I ever made actually. Lvl 27 pure strongbowmen, ZekeRage. I just happened to like Zylo's playstyle, so I stuck with him, and made him my Main. I've just never used the longbow because 1. I've been doing other things besides archer, and 2. everyone said it blew. Now they say it's okay, and I FEEL LIKE IT. Although, I'm really feeling like going pure Melee again. Something like 15/21 7Ath, 7 Ride, 7 WM, 5 PS, 3 IF Cav/polearmer. I've done it before, and I rather enjoyed it. We'll see though.

Welcome to the Legion, Recruits. It's good to see our numbers growing, and hopefully, they'll increase even more. Then the D'haran Empire will truly be a force to be reckoned with (More so than we already are, anyway :P)! That being said, if you haven't already, Please sign up at our private forums. Browse around the formations list and spread of responsibility, and post anything you'd like there.

Having that out of the way, Lord Rahl, a general, or a captain, We should try putting together something with SoA, Blackrose, or TKoV to either have a Scrim or Pubstomp (aka team tactics). I like seeing that there's usually 5 or more of us on at one time now, and I'd like to use this to our advantage.

Just curious, who are Yurah and Harkos? I haven't seen them In game or on TS. Also, what's the word on Jeremy? Also, Also, There's a guy named Brooder who was running around with our Banner. Awesomeasaurus asked who he was, and proceeded to suggest he hop on our TS to mingle with us to see if he was interested in joining and what not. Instead of doing any of that, he Slapped the DL_ Tag on. Up to you guys how you want to handle that. Just a heads up.

Yurah, and Harcos are both members of D'hara.
They may not play as much as us, but they still play all the same.
Jeremy doesn't come on as much because he has a life, besides c-rpg, so he is in the same position as Yurah and Harcos.

So DL, any new recruits need to be told specifically about the recruitment phase, they can wear the banner but no tags until the phase is over. Hey guys, im interested in applying for the clan i didnt see an app or maybe im just blind ><. I am currently a level 24 crossbowman i am fairly well i think i just went 15-8 and previously 12-2. I dont use an off hand rather i take 2 stacks of bolts. I am still learning more about being a crossbower and i think im picking it up well. I have 150ish wpf in the crossbow mastery, and an arbalest. I will heirloom it once i get to level 31. I look forward to hearing from you guys. If i can be directed to an app that would be cool or we can set something up, thanks :P

This file has a logo on a breast of a heraldic armour, instead of on a penis  :D I tested it on many logos of known clans, basically all are looked beautifully. After a new patch I it will update each time. To throw in folder Crpg with replacement of files. Council if will do a logo at first look as it it will be looked on a heraldic armour. Adjust the sizes to the given file. Here is how it looks on an example of logos of clans

Get To GLUNMAR Or any other the villages claimed by DL.  If the Recruitment of GLUNMAR IS BELOW 90% FOR TROOPS IN GLUNMAR, VISIT ISTINIAR, REVERAN, OR MARAS CASTLE FOR TROOPS.

The higher the percent, the better chance of getting troops to rape the village.

Well, with pings 150+, I think trading 1 ticket for 1, when you had the advantage of village to camp, is ok. We'll see how it goes when you attack us on the EU server.

EDIT: Also yeah, it was fun battle, no matter the result, was one of the best battles i participated in.

Huh? there was only 4 DL fighting(of the 10 that signed up) argh!

I think he's more angry at me than anything else. Though, truth be told, we were out equipped. We just didn't have the gold income like that bloc does.

Though good battle all around! Perhaps you might see us again in the future, I love battles versus other clans, so much more on it. Strat though is still More tickets= win assuming equally equipped armies. Just no way around it.

That statement was true, though i guess ignorance is bliss?
Also, you did have some NA players so the whole "we all had 150 ping and did better" isn't true. As i said, the chaos guys were quite deadly doing nearly 1/8 of our tickets. So don't try and give me that bs. You had some(very skilled) na players to rely on.

I haven't once said that I didn't like the fight nor take it badly. Go ahead and put words in my mouth. I just stated the facts. We were under equipped, and (towards the end there) i caught one guy who was just hiding in the haystack. Not all the mercs showed up(though i noticed the risen missing the full list as well, that's just a problem on strat and commanders do their best to have a full roster)

We also had members getting disconnected on our side. I heard that from about 4 different people so there's no way that's not a coincidence. Perhaps the large army(and the large amount of spectators) created unnecessary lag? I can't say for sure, but I had quite a few people complain about getting DCed.

As some, if not most of you know, I had been talking about leaving for a while for various reasons. The time has come to make it official.

First and foremost, I want to say that I really enjoyed playing with you guys whenever we were able, and that despite my leaving, this will remain the Same. If I see you on the field and I'm not under other obligations, I'm going to either be hunting you guys down or fighting beside you. This is assuming that my leaving isn't met with open hostility (Cut it out Argoth).

That being said, I'll be around occasionally. Having logged 850+ hours in CRPG alone, it's time to give attention to other games (and beefy if she's lucky :P). I wish you guys the best of luck, and feel free to add me to steam so we can play other games!

I'm interested in joining DL for several reasons. You guys are NA, you seem to work together and you constantly kick my teeth in so I could learn a lot! I've been playing for several weeks now and favor strength builds with poleaxes at the moment.
