Title: Strat Battles
Post by: Strudog on June 18, 2012, 10:21:26 pm
Today, there was a siege of which only 50 out of the 90 players turned up, and plus there were about 20 players in spec which could have fought i had applied to this battle 24 hours in advance and was kicked out of the roster because i was only lvl 29.

Is there any chance that the devs could fix this by allowing people to be accepted 5 minutes before the battle if none of those 40 show?

While this is being fixed it wouldn't hurt to fix weapon racks so that arrows don't disappear after being refilled...many a poor little archer has had to sacrifice his face for random melee stat testing.  I, myself, can confirm that the new gravity mechanics work much better than expected. 8-)

It would be cool if you are spectating the server and after 5 minutes of people no-showing, then it starts accepting people who applied who are in spectator, but you'd need some message or popup to let the people who are spectating know they've been accepted.

Agreed, I don't see why there should be any need to stop people from being accepted for a battle at a certain time.  Lots of people don't show so there's always open spots that could be filled even after the game starts.  And in fallen's siege yesterday 5-10 people quit less than 5 minutes into the 1500+ ticket battle.  More people showing up = more fun on the battle field

I always thought that the reason the AI defender can have 90 player instead of the 50 limit is because they assume 50% of those won't show.
