Title: Remove asian gear

All of it. Katanas, Nodachis, ninja hoods, throwing ninja shit, fugly samurai armors. Every single japanese piece of equipment.

We will lose apr. 70% of player base but who cares. my old friends will be gone, master race will stay. What do you say?

Oh yeah, put some filter so fat german kids can't choose weeaboo names. Ktnxbye.

Would be a punch in the groin for Ninja and the Red Lotus. Besides, variety is nice. Even I use a nodachi or a samurai mask every now and again.

You don't sound that serious Leshma... But if you were, that is indeed a good suggestion. I prefer arabian gear over japanese stuff... Please add those arab gear, the Saracens (former bandits) suggested instead of the japanese stuff.

Ninjas are a remnant of the old fun cRPG before the loom grind was ever around. Once they go all that will be left is your ultra realistic take on non-realistic combat for old men with 4 attack/block directions. Ninjas were the first semi-serious cRPG clan after all, which many seem to forget. So like it or not ninjas are more a part of cRPG than kuyak + DGS heroes will ever be. 1/10 made me reply.

Very good suggestion, if serious. But i don't think that devs are going to do quality check, not to mention some coherent enforcement of theme.

Besides, many other items are poor quality anyway.

Back on topic.

I've seen these butthurt ninjas wearing black hoods (all of them, even the one who thinks he's cool and awesome), which means this thread affected them just in the right way. But I'm afraid that if I keep calling them gay they might qq to great british developer (who's an archer and dev but can't tell when something is wrong with archery lol).

Any idea how to keep mocking them without getting warnings/mutes?

Saracen and templar gear I saw in Crusader mod is pure win and looks a lot better than anything similar we have in cRPG.

I don't mind japanese items that much but can't stand weeaboos. It's like Apple, you don't hate the company you hate fanboys.

There is no japanese or asian gear in Warband which looks any good. Post links if you think otherwise. But the stuff we currently have does not really look any good.

If there was some fancy equipment I bet most of us could be fine with that.

Arabian stuff however fits the crpg EUROPEAN style, japenese stuff certainly does not.

If I go by your logic then, let's remove kuyak my old friends because I can't stand them  :D. I am a big samurai fan myself, but I like playing as a medieval knight more. I will make a samurai alt, just for your entertainment.  :twisted:

Ye, swords are indeed nice. Especially the 1handed weapon. Sadly it has "bad" stats otherwise I bet it would look quite amazing together with certain armors (not samurai one :P).

I actually mean the armor indeed. Katana and Nodachi are fine imo.

Honestly, the armours aren't that ridiculous though I do dislike how they look a lot more modern than actual period armours would have, realistic ones would be a bit more rough and much less shiny.

I on the other hand am fine with the amount of japanese gear in the game. There's a lot of arabian, stuff, but if there's better looking stuff I wouldn't mind people adding it. What I'd really like seeing is some hindu, chinese and generally more medieval cultures. There's after all tons to add from these like shields like this:

I mean, those are some cool looking shields. A little too much coloour, but that's easily toned down.

There's also a lot of eastern arab cultures that might have some cool items to add, etc. Generally more items, as many as possible from a similar-ish period. Highlander armour aswell.

The problem is finding people willing to make that stuff in the first place.

Yes, lets give the mod a rigid historical setting, we all know that the removal of the Looney Toons axe and the Boulder on a Stick was a good decision.
