Hello,
I heard that the devs changed the penalties for range if they wear armor.
Some people say that the armor penalty got reduced, but the gloves penalty increased.
Is it true ?
Any factor of the increasement ?
Please answer players,devs,admins.

All I know is that there is a shitload of ranged on the servers, that they do higher damage per projectile than I remember them doing and that I got my ass raped by them all night long yesterday.
-
I got told the same thing.
From what I've heard: body armour 1, boots 1, helmet 2, gloves 4
No guarantee, just stuff people told me.
-
That came from Shik so it's legit.
-
So, they just increased penalty for gloves but didnt reduced any penalty from other armorparts ?
Thats crap -_-

Read again what Molly said.
Helmet x2
-
Gloves are x4 now, helm is x2, body armour and feet are x1, 10 weight allowed with no penalities.

Let's see:
Sarranid Warrior Cap: 0,5 x 2 = 1
Sarranid Leather Armor: 6,1
Mail Gauntlets: 0,5 x 4 = 2
Rus Cav Boots: 0,8
= 9,9 weight
Everything went better than expected.

As of the latest patch, archers can wear up to 10 weight without losing accuracy.
Helmets count double
Gloves count quadruple.
boots and body armor are x1
Even if you go above 10 weight though, it's not the end of the world.

What were the values before this change then? Are these values specific for ranged or for melee aswell?
-
10 weight with no penalties.
Does weapon weight is included or just armorweight counts for penalty ?
-
Weapons/Shields etc only affect movement speed.

Effective wpf decrease has always only been caused by armor weight.

Afaik I know it's just working when using ranged weapons... but... well... I am just spreading a rumor now.
