Title: transfering games to another computer

i bought new laptop so how can i transfer steam games without redownloading them?

You can just copy the whole Steam folder and then try starting the Steam.exe
If it shows an error message, reinstall it in the same folder. Start it now.

Not every will probably run but most should.
For those which don't run, try the Verify Game Cache thingy.

Works for me after reinstalling Windows... Should do it for you.
