Title: Pugilist gauntlets
Post by: Bobthehero on June 16, 2012, 04:57:55 am
Little to no armor, 5 weight.

Make it happen.

Would looms just add more weight?
And the model can be 2 cinder blocks tied to your hands.

Low difficulty, I don't like needing 18 str in order to use Heavy Gauntlets. My current build only has 15 and I don't plan on adding more.

Little to none, so that any builds can use it, but I think you'll need at least 4 ps to benefit from them.

PS is huge for heavy gauntlets. Hobo and I were trying them out for a while, and he claimed to be able to two shot people [certainly me since I don't wear helmets] in a full PS build, and I'd either need 26 or 52 [forgot what the count to half health was] to kill him with 6PS [and he had a helm so].

PS pugilisting>>AGI pugilisting :(

I was also thinking of making a sword/gauntlet combo that could use punching animations, but I suck ass at model making :(

Imo Neither, you need a balanced build because you are figthing with fists and unless you can chamberblock very good, which most people cant, you will die because you are too slow to avoid swings. I would personaly go something like this:

(click to show/hide)

And if this proves too slow to avoid swings (it could be fast enough because you are naked but just in case) this build:

(click to show/hide)

My build was balanced to a degree, I don't recall it exactly, but it was probably something like 18/21.

The thing is that you don't need to be so fast if you can find a distracted person, or somebody who wants to get close to you for some reason [shielders are my most favorite people to punch, they lower their shield and immediatly get socked in the face  :D]. The thing is if you go for strength, you really aren't limited by your armor selection and the fact that you need far less hits to kill people means less chances to make mistakes [hitting somebody in the chest which could cause a glance, even though there's almost no aiming].

Next STF, I'll have to see how much each PS is worth for punching [probably mondayish]

Use the pilgrim disguise gloves as model, imo they look awesome.
