Title: Piercing Bodkins?
Post by: Tiger on June 15, 2012, 09:36:49 pm
It would be awesome if you can actually see bodkin arrows pierce the body or limbs more (since it has pierce damage), such as actually seeing the arrow head stick out the other side of a person.

Maybe give it a 10% chance per shot for it to happen.

And a bodkin probably wouldn't go through armor, flesh, bone, ligements, muscle, tendons, organs, etc, and then pierce the armor on the other side, and then come out.

I could see if you made them stick in deeper to the targets, but I don't see them going through mail armor and coming out the other side.

That's not true. Bodkins actually first pierce the moon, then they come down again and pierce plate armor (even if the target isn't wearing any, they still find a piece somewhere and pierce it), and then around 20 men before they get tired and go to sleep.

I can attest to that, I was the last of these 20 men getting shot and I'm the only one that survived to tell the tale because the bodkin had lost  a bit of its power after its trip to the moon and through the 19 men.
