Title: Notification of Teamwounding
Post by: Elindor on June 12, 2012, 06:05:55 pm
Since we have the "You have been teamwounded by _______"
......what about a "You have struck an ally (PlayerNameHere)" message when you teamwound someone?

Wouldn't mind it.

"You have teamhitted (InsertPlayerName)"
Press "M" to report yourself.

Well, tbh I expect most ppl to M me when I teamhit, and I do the same. Slowly we improve the gameplay by making sure less ppl spam mouse1

The more text the more awful fighting becomes. I'm someone who reads everything on the screen, if chat or kills. That means I easily get distracted by any chat (with 200 ppl online its kinda awful), which makes my fighting even more worse.

It might be a good feature if you really want to say sorry for any teamhit. In most cases it doesnt matter though, as you either notice it yourself (especially in melee, in ranged its often hard to tell) or just ignore it as most people do.

Well, Im still 100% behind Reflect Team Damage 100%, just for a week. After that week, when most 2handers, spamrangers, and all Kapikulu's have quit because they endlessly killthemselves, we would have a better game :D

With that, i'd make a 13 shield skill shielder, and make the other team kill themselves.
Even a 1% reflect, that make them stun each other, breaks the purpose of gank. You want to help... hum... no... you can't. Let him duel. Boooooooring.

I'd definitely be for this. I usually notice when I team wound someone and I apologize for it but I don't always notice. I hate it when i do it and I try to always apologize since I feel bad. This would be interesting since a lot of people don't realize how much they may tw since a lot of people don't hit m when its accidental. I definitely don't.

Agreed with last post. Sometimes I shoot a teammate and don't realize so I don't apologize then he presses m and I'm thinking when I hit him :P

It would be helpful.  There are times where I connect with something fleshy but I can't tell if it was my teammate to my right or the enemy in my face.  Knowing for certain that I hit a teammate would help me both apologize for mistakes as well as get a better sense of when not to swing.

The more text the more awful fighting becomes.

Well if this gets implemented, don't teamwound. Problem solved!
