Give the normal short spears (warspear, forks, shortened spear, red tassel spear, spear, double lance) the old stab radius on horseback.
-
Great Idea :D
I didn't understand why you call these people "peasant", though. "Barbarian horsemen" is enough. I tend to use this combination in Native-Nord Scout from at some points: javelins+javelins+shield+warspear+hunter and it definitely is not peasant-wise; but yes barbaric-wise

Corrected :)

Why ?
If you use thoses cheap weapons on horseback, it's normal that you get outreach by the heavy lance. Why give thoses weapons a great bonus against "traditional" lancers ?

They're not "cheap", albeit less expensive than heavy lance (but more expensive then the longer and couchable lance/light lance), you still get outreached if the lancer is coming dead ahead, but can win if you maneuver. You do have an easier time getting rid of 1h cavalry & HA & HX, but vs infantry you don't have the slash. Definitely less effective vs infantry then a lancer, because these weapons are both short (especially forks and such) and cannot be couched. I don't really see any argument why not.

that is actually a nice idea.
Perhaps you could even tie stab radius to weapon length? The shorter the weapon the more stab radius it gets...

This suggestion is really needed and makes sense. I tried using double sided lance today, I failed compared to heavy lance. The problem is:
-They are short. They can not compete with the usefulness lances
-Their radius is small. They can not compete with the usefulness of 1handed weapons
-
Might be a good idea, it is worth testing at least.

In all honesty, a long dagger is almost as useful as any type of spear that is used on horseback.

This could make a new horsemans class :) And give the game more variability. Good one.
Came in mind that mayby shield could also have effect on lancing angles, so that w/o shield u could turn a bit more.

Not that needed I'd say, because most of lancers already have lance+polearm (as sidearm). So they are not using shield. This would only discourage who use lance+shield+1handed, which is something less common as extra weapon master is needed for that.

This is truly a good idea.

Yes please use short spears on horseback so i can kill u easily
