  Hello,

I think there may have something wrong with my upkeep cost i lost around 30-40k gold in 1M xp using that gear :

In my previous gens i've upkeep 40-42k build as 24/15 dedicated polearm without any problem, i was even winnning around 10k for each million of xp.

As i dont have much wpf in 2h for now i understand my mele weapon break quite often but it's not really an issue with a mallet.

I really dont understand why i'm losing gold, it cant be badluck for a 1M consta...

Do you guys know anything about it ?

I have been on ~2k gold for some days now using only mail shirt, bardiche, horseman's kite shield and mail gauntlets... (cost 14,4k, upkeep 1k)

Am I just unlucky or is something really wrong ?? xD

What would your answer be, if I ask you how did you manage to lose a huge amount of money with that gear?

Serously though, perhaps it is because the devs played with mechanics a bit and make low levels to not be able to use expensive (?) equipment. Or perhaps they just increased the chance of repair to kuyak users.

I'm lvl 29 myself.. (is that low for you pro ppl who know everything about everything? :D)

Well I seriously think the upkeep system needs some sort of adjusting.. It's not a bad system, just a bit too random.

That's my set up this gen (I used 1 throwing hammer less and a battle fork instead of the side sword instead before, this set up since about 2 days), and I never lost any gold. It's either amazing luck that I kinda never pay any upkeep (barely more than 1 item per round, even if...) and get a lot of gold income or... I don't know.
Actually you shouldn't lose anything. How often do you repair your maul? 69 wpf should actually be enough not to have repair it too often.

You're probably just very unlucky.

Well i have took note on my repair on 17 rounds (for now) here's the result :

an adverage of :

121,33 gold / ticks

What the FUCK.

I actually agree fully here,  I'm now paying every round on at least 1 item generally 3 though.   And this is with 120 WPF at least,  on all my characters over 25.  My lower lvl ones actually seem to never pay up keep (though I've play VERY little of those.)

Just to make someone randomly go mad on me, I will tell a sad story now:

I just saved some gold by keeping myself equipped with only a bardiche and mail shirt... It went pretty well, after some hours I decided to try out putting on my plate armour, great winged helmet, plate gauntlets and plate greaves. After one round my armor and helmet broke and I was out of gold once again.  -> exit

I've been using 33,772 gold loadout, 2,361 max upkeep and have been slowly making money over the course of a few hours earlier today while "working".  You're either unlucky or bad at record keeping.

How about we get rid of upkeep and, you get a total estimate of your equipment each round, and that is divided into your total earnings for server ticks.

EX:

Guy wearing leather makes 85 on each tick, on x1

Guy wearing full plate makes 10 each tick, on x1.

Well i'm now almost lvl 30 (4M2 xp) so 2M xp after i started this thread.

Guess what ?

I'm still losing gold  :shock:. But a lot less, 10k lost in 1 M.

Maybe with the last point in WM my weapons broke less often.
The gear which ruin me is the xbow (140 wpf), I suspect a bug with the wpf the game uses to calculate the break chance, maybe it is using the 2h wpf instead of the xbow wpf.
This would explain why i'm not losing as much gold as before now that i have 105 in 2H.

i haven't made money in days now, constantly paying repair every round, even when on multis.
