Title: Game of Thrones: the role-playing game
Post by: Patoson on June 09, 2012, 04:03:50 am
I pre-purchased this game, thinking it would be similar to TES or Gothic, and, when I finally was able to play it and, a few minutes after I launched it, I realised it's just as bad as every other game based on a popular book or film.

The story is alright, but there are way too many dialogue scenes, too few fights, and the combat itself - it was supposed to be like Dragon Age's - is really bad. No mutilations or fatalities and very boring overall.

Unless you really want to follow the story, don't buy this game!

I knew this just by looking at what was available to see months ago, lol.

Lesson to be learned:

Don't pre-order based on your initial reaction when the reaction goes somehow like this "OMG GAME OF THRONES RPG IT IS AWESOME I LOVE GAME OF THRONES PREORDER NOW!"

Played through it aswell, it's nothing special and the combat system is quite bad though i did enjoy the story. The fact that there was more story and dialogue compared to fighting was a plus for me.

this game is clearly shovelware rushed out for a quick cash-in on the TV show.
