The horrible world of cRPG.
One day,I discovered a mod for my favourite game - cRPG. It looked awesome,opportunity to create an unique character with his own armor and stats. I installed the mod,then launched it. I created my character - an ugly man with long beard,and joined the battle server. When I grabbed my mouse it threw me into the world of cRPG...
I spawned,I was dressed in rags and was holding a pitchfork in my hands. Also I had a knife on my belt and few rocks in my pockets. I looked around,I saw a bunch of other people. They were dressed differently,everyone was unique,I saw bows,two handed swords,nordic shields,big and powerful crossbows,throwing lances and much more stuff. Some of them were in heavy plate armor,some others used lighter armor,and I saw some other peasants like me. I was scared,because I saw big crowd of angry enemies in the distance. I looked around for some tough guy. Then I found him,hes name was Chase,people said that Chase is a killing machine,a cyborg,and enemies were scared of him,so I decided to follow him in the battle.
Our team started moving forward,our cavalry went to left flank to fight enemy cavalry. As both armies were getting closer to each other,the archers started shooting. I really hoped that I won't get hit by an arrow.
Everything was ok by now,though I was worried. And then suddenly,one of my mates was hit in the neck by an arrow. He fell on the ground while yelling in pain,I wanted to help him,but guys said that there's no point in doing that,it's a lethal wound. They were right,the man bled to death. As we were very close to our enemies and our men were getting hit by arrows even more. I crouched,so I don't get hit. Some of us died from arrows,their corpses were lying in grass behind us. Some had arrows stuck in their limbs,but still capable to fight.
And then the armies clashed. First,some crazy berserk with a big axe and body cowered in bear hides ran at us yelling mindlessly,he swung his axe and hacked off a leg from another peasant like me,then he swung at Chase,but Chase parried his axe,so it got stuck in the ground. After that Chase swung his greatsword and hit the berserk right into the chest. When this happened, lots of blood and vomit came from the wound,the berserk died. I was excited about Chase's power and accuracy. But then I realised that battle is still continuing. I looked around and saw few dead bodies,and some pools of blood on the ground. Our team has split up. I was together with 2 guys,one shielder and two hander. Then 4 enemies charged at us. I wanted to lose my fear and fight. I held my pitchfork stronger and got ready to attack. Both my mates fought 3 of the enemies,one of them came at me,preparing his military scythe. I attacked,surprisingly,I did a succesful hit and stabbed the guy in the upper leg,he started cursing and the pain interrupted his attack,then I pulled my fork out of him,walked two steps back,and then ran at him while stabbing. I hit him in the stomach,and hurt him quite badly,he had some light padded cloth on him. After that,I felt really hard pain in my left shoulder,I looked at it and saw that his scythe's blade had cut it open. I got mad and twisted my pitchfork in his wound. He started yelling in pain and blood was flowing from his stomach. The man fell down,but he tried to swing at me with his weapon,he almost hit me again,but then I ended him with a pitchfork stab in the chest. I was exhausted and my hands were covered in blood,I killed a man. I looked around,my teammates have finished off some enemies,but many of us have fallen too. Then I saw Chase getting surrounded by 3 enemies. Chase had an arrow stuck in his left leg,and I saw some bruises through his armor. I wanted to help him,but he was far. I ran towards Chase,but then I realised he doesn't need help,when one of the enemies charged at him,he slashed him in the arm,and his sword cut through plate armor,the man dropped his sword. Chase stabbed him in the face,which wasn't covered by armor,and I watched how the blade of Chase's sword stabbed through cheek and then it came out on the back of man's neck. After that Chase broke his neck with a punch of his heavy,iron gauntlet. Then one of our lancers couched enemy in the back,the lance broke in two parts and I saw some ribs being ripped out by the lance and one of the lungs fell on the ground,he definitley was dead. I looked back at Chase,he was fighting the third guy,he had a long poleaxe and heavy armor,he looked like an experienced warrior. Chase got hit by his poleaxe in the chest,but he was well armored and got only a little bruise from that. Then Chase kicked him in the ankle,which was already injured,and the poleaxer fell on the ground. Chase slashed his lower body,the hit glanced off the armor,then Chase started swinging like mad and the poor poleaxer ended up with his guts lying around everywhere. And actually he was the last enemy,I was so proud that I survived my first battle.
After the battle we were 7 men standing,and we found 4 injured ones on the ground,and few more who were dying. We buried dead ones and went back home to prepare for the following fights....
