Add new morningstar!
I love morningstars. They're the most badass medieval weapon ever. Swords? Pah, they're a dime a dozen. But when there's a warrior with a morningstar, you immediately know: He's a badass. But! The morningstar has one fatal weakness: It's unbalanced. :shock:
I propose a change.
Le change, part un: les stats
The addition of a new, smaller, lighter morningstar. With reduced damage, of course. I'm thinking something like this:
Light Morningstar
weight: 2.2
difficulty: 9
speed rating: 96
weapon length: 82
thrust damage: 0 pierce
swing damage: 28 pierce
slots: 1
Bonus against Shield
I took out the extraneous "weapon length". I don't know why that's included twice...
But I think this looks entirely reasonable. I based it on the stats for the mace, a common archer/xbow sidearm. It would be the only bonus against shield weapon that wasn't unbalanced, I think. This may be an issue, but I think it would be a cool addition, and still very balanced with the game. The mace has knockdown and isn't unbalanced.
Le change, part deux: les modeles
I think the light morningstar should use the current morningstar's model, and a new model should be made for the current morningstar's stats.
The head of the current morningstar does not belay it's monstrous abilities to shred through foes. It should be twice as big. Then it will definitely LOOK unbalanced too. And more badass. 8-)
So that is it, my little request. It would be really really cool if it happened, but I know that most requests get completely ignored, so really this is just a dream. Thank you for sharing it with me. :D :D :D :D

LIE the 1handed axes are balanced also that one that you can swap from 1handed to meele.
Never the less I think your idea is quite good maybe the slots should be 2 that is my opinion

Make a 1h morningstar than you can use with 2 hands like the Langes!!!!!!!!

Maybe I'm biased, but I'd like a new morning star that is a 1h weapon, similar is stats to the Steel Pick...but slower and more str. requirement, with a bonus against shields.

Morningstar has only one downside and that's not unbalanced tag. It is short.
Unabalanced is a problem only when you swinging in group because it's impossible to cancel attack in its final stage.
Feinting is possible and unbalanced tag helps to consfuse people when feinting.
Although Bec has polestagger, Morningstar is better weapon.

Morningstar is a great weapon, i don't think you need to add another version of it.

Implying it has physics.
Sure, has Faux-physics but that's not physics at all.
Outside of very bad ragdolls, this game has absolutely no physics to it.

you realise a morningstar is a GIANT mace so techniquely we already have 2 smaller morningstars
that being said im always up for new things so +1 for me

A 1handed Morningstar which can be put to 2h mode would be aweosme.Of course it should be even a little smaller than the normal morningstar.

Nonsense. Weld another morningstar to the base of the first morningstar. Your new double morningstar is balanced now, at least along one axis.
If you want perfectly balanced morningstar, weld 300 morninstars to the base of first morningstar. Now you have a ball of morningstars which is balanced by default, since it's a ball. Repeat to infinity to improve balance.

Mace is balanced too... And I'm proposing a smaller morningstar that does less damage and is balanced.

It is inculed twice because it is twice as important as anything else, DUH!

The proposed change would not affect the current morningstar, except to make it have a bigger, more badass model.

I don't think this is necesarry, I'd instead suggest buffing the morningstar onehander mode and allowing you to change to 1h with X, I mean look at that poor mode, it's literally slower than the long maul.
