Title: Goods crafting prices
Post by: KillerofFlowers on June 04, 2012, 04:08:25 am
So im a little confused on how the prices are determined for them. The village im in crafts them each at 13 gold but i go to a diff village and the crafting is for 3 gold each.

The price of goods in villages/castles/towns ranges between 5 and 25, that's the selling price.  When you craft a good, it costs half the selling price rounded up.  So if the good price is 5 gold in your village, it would cost 3 gold to make each good in that location.  If the good price is 25, it'll cost 13.  Then you'd want to sell them in the the locations that have a 25 price, the further away the better distance bonus.

So if you were crafting goods for 3 gold each over near Kwynn and hauled them to Halmar in DRZ territory you might get a 160% distance bonus, selling them for 65 gold each and making a bigger profit but with more risk involved taking goods that far because of bandits.

Is there anyway to get the price for the goods down tho? or does it really not matter in the end

spam your village with people that are active until it is in negative "Fief prosperity", then wait a couple weeks and hope that it at some point changes the "Good price" down.
it is a non-proven method though, since the Fief prosperity sometimes just seems random.
