The past few days I've been repairing almost every round in battle/siege/dtv, and I can barely make much gold. I've been an archer with just the horn bow and bodkin arrows, along with Khergit Lady Hat and Turkish Robe. In the past 6+ hours I've been playing I think I only gained around 1k gold. If this keeps going on, it will take forever to gain gold :/ and I know I'm not the only one.

You'll get a stint of x5 and then you won't be too unhappy. Just be patient, ignore your money and you will be surprised at the increase.
Of course there will always be days when you see very little or even negative gain, but you'll get those where you have quite a nice gain.

Also, dtv is a money PIT don't do it if you are low on gold.

No it's fine. If developers like so much repairing, I have nothing left to say.

After the patch I barley got any repairs, I made 100k gold in 1 day. but then a update came and now I aint gaining anything with my shit armor. (got rus bow and bodkins) but still. Only way to make money in cRPG is to sell heirlooms.. or run around as a useless peasant.

It seems like you need repairs much less often once you get a small stockpile of gold. I hemorrhage money when I'm running around broke with 500 gold in the bank, even in cloth armor. On the other hand, once I get 10-20k or more saved up I can use 60k worth of equipment and almost break even.
It's probably some kind of developer plot to discriminate against new players.

Complaining about the upkeep never gets old eh?
I run around in 40,040 worth of gear and my max upkeep is 2,800 gold. Yet i manage to gain around 50,000 gold every generation.
Don't whine. Money sinks are there for a reason.

I repair like hell, flushing gold down the toilet playing on my main. then again gear cost is 60k, cost of being a throwing lancer cav I guess.

Besides MW German Greatsword, my current setup value is ~5000 gold. But I've been repairing that dumb sword six rounds in a row, 16 out of 20 rounds I've been counting...

On average, I make money. Not a lot but still... now when I use courser instead of steppe with my setup, then unlucky courser repairs in a row are a pain.
