Title: Celtic Shield Designs

I like playing as Germanic warrior but sadly only shield looking a bit like the Celtic shields is the Plain Board Shield. Would be great to add these Celtic shield designs to the mod. I'm just talking about the shape here, would look great and add some more diversity while not adding any balancing issues.

greater selections ? i hope u are not talkin about the banners... just download bannerpack than. i think some new models like triangle shield and somethin would be nice.

I'm talking about the shape. The shields in the picture are quite unusal and not like any shields yet in cRPG so I gues they would make a nice addition. With the added bonus of allowing people to be a more accurate Germanic or Celtic warrior if they want to be. :P

I made a suggestion about something like this quite awhile back, but maybe it was before it's time.
We have several models of Norman and Kite shield, with bland generic textures on them. Why not take a few of them, and make oval shields, and maybe a coffin shape one. On ALL of the generic (non-heraldic) kite/norman/oval/coffin shields, just retexture them with solid colors. Red/Green/Blue/White/Black, etc. This way, they can be used by people playing different cultures. The kite shield was a pretty universal design, used from the Iberian peninsula all the way to the Rus and Saladin's Saracens. Oval shields were pretty prevalent as well, so what would it hurt?

im sorry but i guess they dont find their way into crpg crpg is settled in the late medieval period. these objects fit in the early medieval age.

Shutup Schtze we have freaking ninjas fighting comings and semi hoplietes fighting milanese plate armoured samurai. Do you really think some celtic shields are a problem? I only support this cuz its the closest ill ever get to roman equipment. Good job phalanx +1 Schtze - 1 for being a trollish stupid asshole who nobody likes or respects.

If I had the means and knowledge to do so I would.
There are already mods out there with some shield designs though, Hegemony for M&B for example or even that multiplayer Roman mod.

Problem is that none is that developer are lazy bitches who cba to do more than what they usually do (well we can't really blame them, after all they do that for free), so if you want to see new models in game you'd better to start asking those modders for permission and be sure to have LoS (I dunno what it is, but without it there's no hope they will take it into crpg), then with everything provided you can start speaking with Urist, Fasader and Shik about getting new shields.
Oh I support you, I want moar shieldz too ^^

Nice I like alot of them. Kinda odd that many don't have common celtic symbols on them. Where did you get the art from?
