Speaking of which, it's funny how completely inaccurate maps are still WIDELY in use. The size of European and American countries is vastly exaggerated in a good deal of them. A country that is three times smaller than an Asian country can be shown as just as big etc.

The Mercator projection (this one) is still very useful because what is straight on that map is actually straight in real life too.

The downside is, the surfaces are exagerrated near the poles.

I agree on all of this but still, I heard somewhere Mercator's map is worse when it comes to surface preservation. And that seems logical considering Greenland is much much smaller than Africa even though looking more or less the same on a Mercator map. Btw I knew that xkcd comic and it's still one of his bests.

Went to egypt 4 times, 1 to cruise ship on nile & cairo, 3 in Sharm El Sheik, i just love the red sea and it's a quite cheap trip too, i recommend it to all sea lovers  :wink:.
Also it doesn't show but i went to malta when i was really young, officially to study english, but we ended up doing other stuff instead  :D

Not counting countries i visited with the cruise ship, i went to 2 of them in mediterranean so i was to most of mediterranean countries, even if just on the harbour for a day :D
