Give us back Defend the village!!!! :D
There we could use some real tactics and have a lot of fun,now it's alomost all, find a place where they can't tuch you and shoot them(if your archer) or kill them one by one(by someone else standing somewhere they cant see him/her untill they go on you so he can attack one by one from back) :D
Sorry for bad English... :)
If you vote no,explain it pease :/
P.S. thank you in advance for all corrections :)

I've never played the old DtV, (Joined after it was taken out)but the current DtV is pretty dull, so I wouldn't mind seeing what this older version was like.
-
I miss the old DtV, but your reasoning for brining it back doesnt make sense... the tactics used to win DtV were exactly the same... you would hole yourself up in a building with a shield wall and use range/polearms/long 2handers to kill them over it, or you would get ontop of a building/rock/fence and poke them with your weapon untill they died.... In the new DtV theres a greater risk that you'll lose because the objective isn't solely to stay alive so i requires either better tactics or going rambo.

HAs point but still it was a lot funnier to defend a building than a plain with a girl on it(they should make map where virgin is in some house :D

The old DTV was removed because you could glitch into hidden places and idle as you got ticks. The new XP system seems to have gotten rid of that issue, and the old one was far more intense. Stuff didn't just walk past on it's way to being chambered by a crazy lady pinned to the ground by magic. The bots came after you and tried to rip off your face, in my case they were usually successful.
@Bombi93 "a lot more fun" your not wrong but that means it was comedic, and I think you mean that it was just more enjoyable. Not that it wasn't funnier, it often was.

Old dtv was awesome :(

Only thing I played when I first joined.
Maybe there can be a mode without the xp just for fun?

Old version was better imo, this version pretty much requires having something to hide behind/people who backpeddle nostop whilst swinging/cheese attacking bots as they run at virgin without paying attention to anything else.
Sure in the old version I saw the later stages more often but that was because a well balanced group that actually played as a team could manage it, and the whole "just for a shield wall" plan was a lot harder than it sounds when the axes and maulers started coming out to play, then fighting whilst casualties slowly built up got pretty intense.

Doesn't the virgin prevent camping and picking them off one by one, because you have an objective to defend apart from just yourself? Your description of current DtV seems more like the old DtV.

How about old dtv, with a similar gold/exp system to the current one?
With gold/minute ticks, there would be abusers, so how about it's defend the village, and you get a certain amount of gold/exp per wave? (once all the npc's are dead)
If it's once the npc's are dead, this wouldn't assist glitchers in any real way (unless archers).
As for the gold system, I suggest:
- End of round/wave
- Time is no constraint on the reward mechanism
- Players alive at the end doesn't alter gold gained.
- It would make sense, that those who don't die get more, as the "loot pool" or rewards would be shared amongst fewer. (bad idea, promotes self-sufficiency instead of teamwork)
But the old DTV shits on the current one, and was actually fun.
