Title: Bandit Hideout - wtf?
Post by: OpenPalm on May 25, 2012, 09:42:28 am
The invisible walls are terrible.  There's nothing showing where they are.  Cav are so fucked on this map it's funny.  There needs to be flags, or SOMETHING to show where the edges are.

That map is not really a cav map, it a very small battle map but at least it's playable for cav, unlike maps like ambushed, completely unplayable

Didn't know every map has to be cav map... Most of big maps favor cavalry, i don't think there is nothing wrong having few infantry maps on battle server.

almost all historical battles are made on open plains or on open maps. None of them are on city maps. Those are suppose to be raid/ siege maps.

Alex, your talking about army battles 1000-50000 men. Now we got 50-60 ppl per side at max.

But yes, the map could have some visible borders on the edge.

I'm not saying it has to be a cav map.  Just something to indicate the borders... maps that don't have any kind of indication of an invisible wall are... I don't want to say LAZY because obviously I'm grateful for the people who make the maps, but maybe they should be taken out of rotation.  There are always better maps.

Bump.

This has been said by me in many threads, and others.  The invisible map edges aren't logical or intuitive.  For this map to stay in the rotation it should really be re-worked to include a slight elevation change where the illogical map border is.

That's not even taking into account a lot of people complaining about terrible fps on the map.
