Title: Restore Old Rus Bow Model

It's my opinion that the original Rus Bow model (the Warbow model) looks better than its current counterpart.
Therefore, I would like to have the original aesthetic restored if a high percentage of people agree with me.

I can't seem to find any good pictures of the old model, so if someone has one maybe they could post it? That would be very cool of you! ^^

Because Shik noted that the "warbow" did not exist, and found a nice model for the Rus bow.

I like the new model, personally.

I also find it fitting that I started with an Archery post, and here is an Archery post at the end. <3

Rus from Ruspeople , scandi vikingera.

We have a warspear,sword of war,warhorse,waraxe ingame.. I liked the Warbow. It was the "best" bow always IMO, gameplay and for my own realism. Not having pinpoint accuracy is good. Feels more real.

The lesser bows are more like huntingbows and kids bows. pewpew. They do little damage, since they are made for hunting rabbit and deer. At close-medium range.

Naming it Warbow indicates it is specifically made for war ,short-medium-long range vs armored and skilled enemies.
Only usuable for strong and welltrained battlearchers.

The other bows are for kids,peasants,hunters,robber,bandits. This bow is for the seasoned battlearcher.

The Longbow is a special sort of warbow, practiced by specialists.

My rambling view on it based on "how-it-should-be".
Not based on history,logic or reality :)

I really don't mean to single you out or anything, especially since your stating someone else's opinion.

I just wanted to say that I've never fully understood this viewpoint. I seriously doubt that anyone
playing this game knows every singe medieval weapon that did or did not exist. If the model doesn't
look out of place, does it honestly break the illusion for anyone?

Wouldn't it be better to focus on greater variety and enjoyment, rather than worrying about some
inevitably flawed representation of history? Crpg is never going to be fully accurate. And if it was I doubt
anyone would play it anymore.

I guess the way I see it is as long as everything fits within a style and doesn't look out of place it isn't
restricting anyones enjoyment. But I can ALWAYS be wrong, that's just how I see it.

And I realize a lot of people do care about very high realism. I just don't really understand it after a point.

I hope I didn't sound angry or anything, I'm glad you posted and I certainly can see where people of that
viewpoint are coming from. It's just that when something is so inherently imperfect why do we have to
pretend it's not?

There are many 1slot bows and only two 2slot bows.
Would have been awesome if the Warbow was added. The models are there already.

Suggested stats:Warbow
cost:12K gold
missilespeed:40
weight:1.6
accuracy:100
difficulty: 8
speedrating:60
thrust damage: 30 cut
slots:2
Can't use on horseback

Without some testing im not sure how this would work out. But the idea was that it would be a highend battlearcher bow.
Req minimum 24 Str for PD:8
