Title: Uban: Kulin_ban
Post by: Kulin_ban on May 23, 2012, 10:47:28 pm
I got banned by RandomDude while playing Rageball on EU6 around 1 hour before this thread was made.

What I would care to know is why I was banned, and most importantly why I was not issued a warning by admin prior to this ban?

Uh-oh, guess the hypocritical apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Coming in here to make an unrelated post, only hours after you've been given warning about your behavior, alone speaks about how serious you've taken that warning.

BTW, my ban has already expired, but I would like to know why I was banned.
I would like to know why you were unbanned...

Banned for spawning without weapon for 1hr.

At least 2 times I saw you spawn without weapon, and pick one up from the ground.

I waited for the 2nd time to be sure.

I dont need to warn for breaking server rules.

For stuff like this, where it's pretty rampant on the server, I'd rather ban people for short periods of time and hopefully send a msg.

Picking up weapons is a great practice, but that or your score don't justify breaking server rules.

Take a Wooden Stick when you spawn and then go scavenging.

The thing is, I had a weapon ALWAYS 1 seconds after spawning, and did not even think about breaking a rule. Than I got banned and I wondered WTF happened...

There's something called leeching : aka staying in a server without worrying about gold repairs.
You can do that on Rageball while still being decent, thanks to the incredible quantity of weapons on the ground. But it definitely shouldn't be encouraged.

RandomDude spawns with a mw flamberge, then dies. And you think you can spawn with nothing, or spawn with a shitty club, just to pick up that weapon and start using it ?
First rule is common sense, spawn with a normal flamberge, drop it and pick up the mw one. Here, it's a fair trade.

It's already "great" that Rageball is the only place where running around naked/with shirt tunic is allowed, since speed is important. Don't also come without any weapon.

Too bad it was only an 1h ban, the guy seems to know "perfectly" what he was doing.

You dont need to spawn with a high cost weapon, but you do need to spawn with some kind of weapon.

Im gonna enforce these rules on all servers unless some rageball-specific rules come into force.

Spawn with a cheap weapon if you want and trade it in for better ones on the ground, I won't have anything bad to say about is as an admin.

It goes both ways. It also isn't fair that I have to duel his mw flamberge with my shitty "club"?

Think first, speak after.

Thanks for making me an example, but you still haven't answered about why you issue warnings to some, and handing out immediate bans for others for same violation.

Regarding duelling my flam with your club - dont i pay for the priviledge of using a "better" weapon? Also I dont consider any fight in eu7 to be a duel.

This leads on to why you need to spawn with a weapon - why do you get 0 upkeep for weapons when others have to pay?

Also why did i warn the other guy and not ban? Because i didnt see him clearly so i couldnt be sure. I watched you twice and was sure.

Stop dueling on rageball, there's a duel server for that.

The no weapon rule doesn't make sense for Rageball, given that it's entirely possible not to have a weapon and still be the guy who contributes the most (score wise as well). Rules updated
