Who wants to play? We should probably start advertising in the NA servers since most people don't read the forums, let alone the events section.
We need a captain who can organize IN GAME tactics (basically a "strat caller").
Anyone interested in being a captain or signing up for the team (or tryouts if we have enough interest) just reply here.

When I entered the EU cav tournament as a wide-eyed ambitious American, I had 0 polearm WPF, a destrier, only 5 riding, a non loomed red tunic, and my dear MW heavy lance, topped off with high NA ping. I went against nothing but 7+ riding champion arabian pure cavalry builds, made for maximum lethality in cav combat and fighting on their homeland.
When I left the EU cav tournament, I left.. a champion.
Looms don't make you good. Levels don't make you good. Ping doesn't make you good.
The only thing that matters is the country you came from, and the man who you are.
Let this tournament decide who amongst us truly belong in the pantheon of the greats.
Let those who whine in this thread, stick to DTV and Rage Ball.
I will see all those who represent their countries in the tournament when the design is done, on my main character, with all of my sweet gear, and my pro skills. What will you bring?

Well I'm signing up, if there's not much interest I'll volunteer as stand-in captain so we can get a team signed up.

I think part of the reason his thread is generating so little interest is because of its placement and even if it's the right place we should probably place one of these on suggestion corner or general discussion and I'm pretty sure we'd get a lot more people signing up.

Seems we're getting a couple people but I think on of the best ways to do this would be to go NA clans and just advertise this or take badplayers thread with all the states and what not and try to get some sign ups going.

Think it depends on how many people we get to sign up, and who the captain is. The captain I'm assuming has final say. However my suggestion is that if we get over 16 people who want to sign up, then we do some sort of tournament to figure out who plays (or maybe break it down into classes)

Haven't been playing cRPG enough to want to draft/organize a team, but I will bullshit with pro america propaganda and tout my eu cav tourney championship at any opportunity.
Don't kid yourself about strat level tactics either. This is very dependent on individual skill and a capacity to support whoever is next to you fighting, basically "battle server awareness." You aren't gonna roll over a team of level 34 pro nord/byzantine 2handers by "cav flank left in v wing formation ~~~" when its like 8 vs 8 arena fighting or whatever the rules are.
If I don't fight in it I'll gladly watch though, "competitive" warband play is pretty funny. Good luck to whoever decides to organize this shit (organizing crpg players is terrible)
If you want to see how these tourneys go, this is a hilarious video of the former EU clan Risen raping like 6 EU teams in a row to win some tournament (set to terrible music)

I basically just want to get the states to make teams and have a great fucking battles and then we can pick the best of us all to make our TEAM USA!!!! Then go to Eu and win thats all i wana do but i have no talent in organizing such things :(

thanks for the advice smooth. And I didn't have anything extravagant in mind when it comes to in game tactics. More along the lines of having a certain amount of each class and they compliment each other. Maybe something along the lines of noticing something in game and saying "flank left/flank right" etc...nothing crazy.
I kind of envisioned it coming down to which team has the best battle awareness and able to fight next to the people to their left and right.

Dach I think Arowaine is starting a Canadian or at least a French Canadian team and you could definitely be a part of that i believe but if you cant find a team im pretty sure at this rate we're going to need players so Ill keep that in mind unless you join the Canadian team.
And Horsexbow sounds like a good way to win a euro tourney haha you just got to get that skill lvl past rohy and we will definitely win!

See that's the thing. I don't like pure ranged. Can't stand it, so i ALWAYS have melee. Can't kite like him, but I can fight 1v1 better.

The euro's had the first ever dedicated HX. Jaacko i think was his name back then. But this was the old school game.
