Speaking from a realism point, which would hurt more? Getting hit with a leather glove, or metal gauntlets?
If someone walked up to me, and punched me in the face with gauntlets, I would be down for the count.
I'm not saying that they should do a ton of damage, just that they should increase your punching damage some.
What do you all think my fellow c-RPGers?

It is already in for months.

It's already in the game?
Really?
-
Yes, really.

Yeah, already implemented.
Now we need boots to affect kick damage.

Paul was originally intending to do that, but thought it would be too overpowered iirc.

The gauntlet weight determines punch damage, a small part even has armour ignore so that you can at least interrupt someone in heavy armour (if you have heavy gauntlets). I originally coded extra boot damage too but it was vetoed down because that might be overpowered.

Heavy Gauntlets are boxing gloves.

I have experienced that. I have the habit of trying to punch the last man standing to death, its always funny to see them focus on other, seemingly more dangerous targets first in a gank while I keep interrupting his attacks.

So can we have boots of escape (ie, running faster) instead ? (for loomed boots)

I want boots of jumping like in Morrowind.
-
I do fine with plate mittens and 32 strenght, can kill an archer or a peasant in 2 punches
