Is throwing necessary for a thrower build? I see a lot of throwers using 1 handers quite well. Leman Russ being a good example. He throws hard and is quite competent with his 1 handers up close.
Anyone have advise for a thrower 1 hander build?
I was thinking
25 str
12 agil
8 power strike
8 power throw
4 athletics
4 weapon master
5 iron flesh
And not sure if it needs any throwing wpf. Some say yes some say no.
If no then it would be 142 one handed.
Or it could be 100 one hander 115 thrower.

Throwing proficiency is not needed. And thats one of the problems right now and why 50% of the people on the field are throwing. Proficiency will make you throw faster and more accurately but thats about it. And accuracy with throwing is laughable anyway. You have to learn the trajectory of each weapon on its own. The speed is the only thing. I don't know if you get more damage with higher proficiency or not but high PT works just as well. Especially when you use heavy axes and above. Leman uses throwing lances which are devastating. Getting more accurate or faster with them is pointless since you have to be really close anyway and they one-shot pretty much everyone.

Here's some advice for throwing...if you like having friends don't do it.

use that build with throwing axes, and invest 100 in throwing, rest in one handed and youll be fine
alternativly u can have 80 in throwing if you prefer beeing a bit more on mellee side

21 Strength
15 Agi
130 Polearm (love my awlpike)
85 Throwing
3 IF
5 PS
4 Shield
5 Athletics
7 PT
5 WM
This is my build currently. I believe it's a bit too broad and not very focused but it works fairly fine.
It really depends on what throwing you want and Leman using a 1-hander is a fairly good idea. I'm going to be trying a Jarid build and see how that goes and let you know as well.

The two beneficial hybrids are 1h and polearm. Polearm using throwing lances as a melee / thrown are rather effective, if a bit obnoxious.
I'd modify your build to:
24 str
15 agil
8 power strike
8 power throw
5 athletics
4 weapon master

whit that build you wont be able to hit anything with lances, trust me if you use lances dont even think about pt lower then 10

With my alt:
30 Str 9 Agi
Will be 10 PT + 10PS, some Athl. + WM.
Jarids will do the job, with 10 PT I wil be way over requirements + ~ 90 Wpf for speed and accuracy.
10 PS is an obv. substitute for not being able to run away.
Long iron mace or maul will create more upsets in melee after jarid stacks are empty.
IMO this is the only valid throwing build, u are low on ammo, accuracy is poor, you cant run so you need huge output.
@ LVL 24 I can allrdy say that you ll have a laugh after every kill. Just PT 7 atm.... ;-).
