The speed of your weapon and your WPF with that weapon category.

Are you sure it's WPF too? I mean I just tried a char with 1 WPF in 1h and it felt like it was blocking just as fast as a char with 140 wpf.

It's very noticeable on a slower weapon, like a Pike. Having a higher WPF for the weapon lets you block quicker, recover from weaponstun faster, finish your blocking animation faster, etc. People who rely on tap-blocking might be surprised when their weapon doesn't hold the block for as long as they wanted when they get a large boost of WPF because of this.

Edit: On the other hand, I might be confusing the attack speed benefits that WPF gives with faster blocking; I've always noticed a difference in my blocking speed with higher WPF, though, especially against multiple opponents.

Everyone who goes rambo with a lvl 1 peasant can wittness that wpf has nothing to do with blocking speed!
I see no difference in blocking speed at all, the only thing that i experienced is the recovery from being blocked yourself depends on agility (seems being stunned aswell as i have it far less with a high level character but im not sure on that).

Blocking speed is pretty much the same across the board. The only places that you will see a difference in (based on WPF) are stun-recovery and swing speed.

After testing in the duel server for a little bit I noticed that block speeds are essentially the same, as you said; a Pike was weaponstunned for the same time as a Nomad Sabre, and the difference in block time between the two was minute.

Your blocking is the same, your swing timing is off and gets you killed.

blocking is allways the same in native. should be in crpg, too.

stunnin is only affected by both weapon wheights, not wpf or other.

I know what you mean, when playing with a longsword I think I can block faster than with a greatsword, but its only imagination because swing speed is faster. worst is with a maul or similar, I allways think I cant block in time and thus fail. its all in your head.
