Before that patch i can see that for example I am playing Mount and blade :Warband. Now when i play the game i can only see i am online (shows no game icon or anything)
Now when i open crpg launcher in steam it doesn't do the game overlay anymore. (100% the option is on for game overlay).
i want it back plz help

same thing happens to me
-
Same here ._.

That's because cRPG aint fully ported to the newest version of warband yet and technical stuff happens.

as long as you arent playing DTV or rageball, just launch WARBAND from steam instead of using CRPG launcher.
You'll get error messages starting up but just keep clicking. Doing stuff like msg to admin will also give u error msgs but it still goes thru

I just added the crpg launcher as a non steam game and called it "Mount & Blade: Warband cRPG". That seems to work.

Hmm maybe try naming it exactly the same as the regular steam warband? Does that work?
-
move warband folder to stamapps/common folder. tell me if it works!

doesn;t work
move warband folder to stamapps/common folder. tell me if it works!
when you install warband via steam its already there
-
dunno what you want then i dont understand you. you need to put your game into steam folder. if it is not in steam folder it will not show that you are in game.
-
The thing is that Steam has its own game files, different from the ones you get with the installer from Taleworlds, I assume. So, unless you launch the executable file that Steam downloaded, the Steam game won't be launched.

Yah, something changed recently and 'broke' steam cRPG detection. It used to detect warband being launched when you played cRPG. Now it doesn't anymore.
As a temporary work around i use the 'add as a non-steam game' trick i mentioned earlier, but it doesn't add any more 'time played' and achievements and such for warband on your steam profile. However, it does show i'm playing cRPG on my friends list when i do, so that at least is nice.
Dunno how to fix that. Open to any suggestions. Anyone got an idea?

This is what i mean :)

So when you add it to a non-steam game do you just say to use "launch c-rpg.exe" ?
-
Yes . you go that route if you choose to use WSE launcher with steam version or without it. If you have steam MB you can just launch the game without the WSE and will show as a steam game.
-
If you launch crpg through warband the steam overlay works. It will give you a few errors that you can ignore. apparently it will mess things up if you play rageball or DTV tho, but works fine for other modes (not sure about strategus battles).

THE PROBLEMS is that i play rage ball and DTV :( :(

Just add cRPGLauncher.exe to your Steam library and use that. It won't be like playing the original Steam game, but you can use the Steam overlay to chat and all.

i did that, run the game fine but it will not say In game Mount and blade: warband. instead it will say CRPG launcher. Change name? Yes i did that but i will never get achievement and stuff from normal warband ;(

You won't get that any achievements for warband when playing cRPG anyways. You only get 'x hours played'.
Just rename the 'cRPG launcher' to 'Mount & Blade: Warband cRPG' by right-clicking it in your steam libary, choosing properties and editing the name.

If I do this the sound is messed up on battle.

I have this problem:
I add "cRPGLauncher" as a non-steam game to my library, and start the launcher via steam. My profile changes to "In the non-steam game cRPGLauncher", but when I then press "Play Warband" and M&B menu appears, my profile status goes back to "Online", and stays as that when I play the game, and I can't open the steam overlay etc.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Is the same for me.

doesnt work for me... i dont get the overlay and it doesnt see that im running a non steam game... wonder why
-
also if you dont use the launcher you can still use weapons secondary modes, but it won't show them "turned around" for you. Also you can whistle for horses, but they won't come to you.

Just tested and checked again, to be sure. Steam overlay does work for me in cRPG:
I added the cRPGlauncher.exe to my steam (In my case "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\mountblade warband\cRPGLauncher.exe" -a) and then i changed the name of the cRPGlauncher in steam to Mount & Blade: Warband cRPG.
I think that's all i did. I do run Steam as administrator by default and i'm using windows 7 64 bit. Maybe that's it.
-
Did everything you did, and doesn't work for me. Same OS too. :|

It's working for me too. I have steam installed to a different folder like you (e:\games\Steam in my case), so it might not work if steam is installed in the default location "c:\program files"-whatever.
-
I'm getting reports from friends trying the same trick for Day Z (we use the Six Launcher for that, simmilar to cRPG's launcher) and failing. Might be a Steam issue... I'm guessing it has something to do with how you have things set up.
Perhaps you can experiment, see what causes it not to work. Maybe try adding another non-steam game and see if you can get the overlay to work for that.
Most obvious one is running steam as as admin: go to your steam folder, right click on Steam.exe, click the Compatibility tab, check the "Run this program as an administrator" box and then hit "OK".
There might also be certain applications (some AV's, Xfire and some other programs) interfering with the steam overlay:

My problem here is that it doesnt credit me for hours played anymore. It hasn't in several months (actually I think this has always been an issue since the launcher started) Anyway we can fix that?
-
Don't think so, unless cmp ports it to the newest version.
-
Well, the problem is the exe name, its renamed so it can coexist with the original exe. And the cRPG launcher will not use the original named exe, what probably means that if you rename the old warband to the original name, the launcher will not use it, because of the name.
And steam will not launch with the wrong exe name, not recording time played, achievements, and using the overlay.
Yes you can add as a non steam game and use the overlay, but really the overlay is the least important thing to me.
I GOTTA TRACK MY GAME TIME!
