A story driven, party based rpg. No futuristic stuff i want swords, axes, bows, magic - the usual suspects please. Not hack&slash, idealy something not turn based, but not exaclty fluid if you know what i mean (kinda like d&d rolls with pauses, tactics etc.). Excelent story is the most important factor.
Cant find any games that seem interesting, either i have played them already or i just dont like the things i see.
Need help with choosing

Neverwinter Nights is not party based, but would fit all the other requirements.
Legend of Grimrock came out very recently, it is a party based dungeon crawler, which, supposedly, is very good, haven't tried it myself yet.
-
I made same topic on polish M&B forum and I get tons of titles (WARNING - THERE ARE RTS AND RPG DGAMES)
TES III Morrowind, TES IV Oblivion, Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40k Dawn of War Dark Crusade, Twierdza 2, Twierdza Krzyżowiec, Alien Nations, Settlers 3, 4, 5, 7, Narodziny Kultur; Star Craft, WarCraft III, Sins of a Solar Empire, The Guild 2, Gods Kraina Nieskończoności, Might & Magic VII For Blood and Honor i M&M VIII Day of the Destroyer, Anno 1602 i 1701, Rise of Nations, Rise of Legends, Neverwinter Nights 2, Dragon Age, Heroes of Annihilated Empires, Armies of Exigo, Kozacy, American Conquest, Fable, Sacred, Witcher 2.

WTF? That is just a list of random games, most of which are not even RPG games in the slightest...

NWN is party based! Besides, stay away from NWN 2... the first part of NWN and its Add-Ons is way better storywise and gameplay-wise too. If you havent played NWN yet, do it, it's a awesome classic which is fun even by todays standards.
-
Already played all of the Forgotten realms games
-
Did you play the Witcher games yet? They are both awesome!
-
Witchers
-
Dungeon Siege 1 and Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna. DS II is OK-ish too, but don't even glance at DS III for it will consume your soul and make you want to feed yourself to couple of flesh-eating cows.
-
Dungeon Siege series sucked imo.
I would try as suggest Neverwinter Nights 1, 2 is ok but 1 is better but a lot older.
Sins of a Solar Empire is also a good RTS but it doesn't really fit into anything you're looking for.

Already played, also played all TES
As for Newerwinter nights

Well "Risen 2 Dark Waters" came out. And I must say, I tought it sux as bad as Risen 1.
You know what....it does, combat is akward and even complete bullshit at times...but eventually u get used to it and I tell u why you get used to it.
Risen 2 is the most coolest Pirate adventure game ever. The story is pretty awesome and the adventures u get into rule. Not to mention u can use monkies, parrots, throw sand in your opponents face and cut his face off when his blinded, make voodoo dolls to control people. U get a ship at the middle of a game and than u can decide where u go, so its not very liniar as the first one. And the game has a good sence of humor in it.
If its story u want than Risen 2 is definately your game, it has pretty much everything from all pirate tales put together.
-
Alrighty, downloading Risen 2
Also, Witcher 2

Well than, if you keep at it you will be done in 5-6 days.
Witcher 2 is a shitloads long game and in Risen 2 u will want to comb every little part of the world u can possibly find for moar loot, cause the loot in this game rules.

It's not bullshit, it's pretty much the same as in Gothic 3. You need good timing. And AI on hardest performs better than 80% of cRPG players.

It is pretty much bullshit, though, when you are fighting against animals and beasts. You can't block or dodge them so you just have to spam or simply shoot them.
Fighting against humanoid AI is, on the other hand, pretty satisfying and fun.

Does "all forgotten realms games" include Planescape: Torment? That probably has the best story and dialogue of any RPG i've played. You need to be OK with reading a lot though
Apart from that you probably played the ones i'd suggest..Fallout 1/2 and Arcanum, Vampire: TM, KOTOR etc
How about JRPG's? Get an emulator and you can play FF7-10 and the Chrono Cross/Trigger games are supposed to be OK

Exactly my point. Buuuuuuut since about 60% of the time u are fighting beasts, its still bullshit and it turns into a "letsseeificanspamenoughhitstokillyoubeforeyouhitme" kind of combat.

Risen 2 has atleast one thing that makes it awesome: gnomes.
-
Gothic II if you havent played it yet, altough its not partybased.

Freedom Force 1 or 2! Old, cheap now. Parody of 50s and 60s comics, you get a party of heroes and play through campaign. Multiplayer is good too but noone plays that anymore (except me and my little brothers via LAN ). You can make your own heroes too, with completely custom powers.
-
Ultima Online? :) Not really story driven but yeah.
-
I assume you've already played Baldur's Gate 2? It's probably the best all-round party-based RPG I have played. The story isn't spectacularly written, but it is serviceable.
Planescape Torment is very well written, but the combat is awful.

I love Freedom Force!
Evil Genius is a secret little pearl too that barely anyone knows although it's just great!
Both not really RPGs tho...

Got crappy revies and is hack'n'slash...
You should take a look at Shank or Warp. Both little small games but fun... not RPGs I'm afraid.
-
Yea i know.... just gonna play it cause its lotr
-
...cuz of the books or the movies? :D
-
Forgotten realm writers > J. R. R. Tolkien > George R. R. Martin > stuff i dont read
-
Well... I can't think of anything else tbh. Seems you've played it all already.
You could just replay Monkey Island...

So does cRPG, just look at the amount of french & italian in general chat.

I really liked Drakensang: River of Time. Party and class based, has a realtime combat system (ok, a quite slow one) with dice throws in the background and based on the "the dark eye" rule set.
The story was nice in my opinion, not the "you are the choosen one and you have to save the world" crap but rather a "you are at the wrong time in the wrong place" one, but for other people it was not epic enough.
here is a gameplayvideo of one of the bossfights.

Icewind Dale (similar to Baldur's Gate).

War in the north is a reeeaelly nice game if you play it with a friend.
Shitloads of fun, although I would reccomend it more on the console than on PC.
