While cRPG and Napoleonic wars are very popular, nobody is really playing fire and sword online, and I don't really get it, with the tactical possiblities the game can give, if people just worked togeather they could make a propper pike and shot formation, you could have waves of pistol armed cav ect.
But instead there is like 3 servers with players, two of which are siege, and the other is just hack and slash team death match.

Fire and Sword sucks

if people just worked togeather
there's your answer, working together is forbidden in multiplayer games!
also, it has a really boring setting

CRPG is a good mod for a game we all already have, so player became bored with native, try CRPG then stay.
Napoleonic wars is the new "mount and musket", so it's already have his player base and fan before even going out, + it's awesome. And the mount and musket community were really active.
Fire and musket come out of nowhere and is not free, so when native player become bored and look at "fire and sword" they just say "I will instead try one of these free mod for Warband"

"Why are noboy playing with fire and sword?"
Because they're playing a mod that is of better quality in the same setting, called Deluge.
-
Even fewer are playing that mod, 4 empty servers.

I like pie.

Fail and Sword
-
it sux the worst game i have ever played

why are people not playing a game with instant kill guns based on a melee combat engine? durrrrrrrr

Maybe because it has a different taste that does not go well with most of the players' flavor. I personally find it to my liking, despite many other people. I think it has some nice combat mechanics. Especially the fact that two handed weapons are much more slower and heavier. The only thing that is broken are spear-type weapons really.
Some reasons why I like fire&sword:
-There are many different yet balanced weapon choices for duels, save for spears
-Awesome captain co-op mode
-Single player is more fun than warband, because the elite troops are unlike the overpowered mamlukes/knights of calradia. You have to do some form of tactics, other than charge.
-Bombs are very fun to use
-In siege mode, the defenders I think has some kind of health regeneration.
-The fact that you can do something like couched lance with spears and pikes on the ground if you crouch.
... maybe some other factors I can not remember
Many people like Napoleonic, but I find it pretty boring. Yes Napoleonic is very more realistic compared to fire&sword. But I find myself having more fun with fire and sword, even with those overpowered spears and fast-deadly-overpowered hussar lances. Yet, I never say "Napoleonic sucks". It is just not my cup of tea. I have respect for Napoleonic players after all.

I don't dislike WFaS at all but like Weren said, Deluge is ten times as good and it's free(not that it matters now anymore though).
-
lmao I always thought this was single player only.

>rifleman?...check
>3 pistols?...check
>best ammo...check
Now all thats left is sit in a corner and aim at the entrance...

I have to say that Captain Co-Op is actually pretty fun! But the main reason you should be buying fire & sword is because of the SP.
I also bought it to support developers and for upcoming mods.
The demon mod has some potentional.
