Title: Keeping ammunition

So i've been wondering, why is it that i cannot keep ammunition that i pick from the ground after round end.
Im using a 2h mellee build and sometimes i grab a crossbow from the ground usually with some bolts nearby. However when the round ends and new one begins, i only have that 1 bolt that was already loaded in the cross. Why can i not keep a bag as well?

I know, but why? If you can pretty much go to a battle without any weapons, then pick everything up, survive and use those weapons the next round...seems odd that ammunition is the only item that suffers from this.

Also, how about thrown weapons? Does that count as ammunition as well? Picking up a single war dart for instance...will it give you a full stack next round?
