What do those dudes in plate armor run with stats-wise. I was in a game yesterday where 3 of us were hitting him and he just wouldn't die. Might be fun to try that someday.

Strength. 30-9 is the norm, some probably do more.
-
27-12 is where its at

I'm a tincan too, and I have 18-22... It's balanced but I have no ath. :/

Damn, why so much str, don't the need some agility to move in that stuff?
-
Because, NA players love getting 9+PS and calling themselves pro players when they can 1 shot everyone else. 2h str builds are the master race in NA. (Slowly shifting to lancers on coursers)

Well, this comes down to how the game favors str builds. With high str you can also stack IF which means you'll take a LOT of hits in heavy armor.
Not to mention the fact that you can technically swing faster with a strength build. Your actual swing may be slower, but you can turn so much into your swing and not glance that you can hit earlier than other people. You can hilt slash people all day. Not to mention that you can kill a lot of people just by chambering one of their attacks. That's what Wallace did back in the day when he still played regularly. Pretty sure he had 13 ps or so and pretty much never blocked, only chambered. He would 1-hit people left and right. Being slow doesn't matter too much since people have to get close to you to fight you.
You can also rack up a ridiculous amount of kills as a str build just by getting a long, high damage weapon, following a teammate and doing overheads all day.
That being said, agi builds are WAY more fun than str builds.

Swinging your weapon to block an incoming swing.
As tincan, you often get surrounded by angry mobs of enemies and have no chance to counterattack besides chambering overheads, for example - all other swings would get stuck in enemies (2h, polearms).
And I'd say 24/15 is also a build worth considering. 21/18 doesn't really feel worth it, speed wise.

Isnt their wpf terrible because of the weight penalty? Or is their PS so high it just doesnt matter.

I Resemble That!!!
Na on a serious note, I wear heavy armor but I hardly get hit in a 1v1 anyways so it doesn't matter much. I also use a 1h sword as a handicap.

PS scales WAY better than WPF. WPF barely gives a damage increase and doesn't do much for swing speed. Also, higher str makes it a lot easier to hiltslash. Going for more PS is always better than more WPF.

No they're not.
I do 30/9 with a 1 hander no shield, fun and challenging, also, play in first person.

What is hilt slashing?

What is hilt slashing?
hitting someone extremely early in the animation, to the point that you're hitting them with the hilt of your sword before the blade has swung enough to hit them. And still doing damage.
Takes a bit of practice to not glance, but the more strength you have = higher base damage = can hit earlier and earlier in the animation.

You will be disappointed, if you ever try to run around in plate armor. It seems great when you are fighting someone who has it, but when you have it yourself, you realize, it's really not that great. Kuyak clones will still three-hit you.
-
Get loomed kuyak or sarranid guard armor, get some good gloves and good head armor, pick bec, morningstar or warhammer, follow the teammates,do overheads only = profit.
