Title: Is there no way to make an alt a main?

My STF ended up as my main in the past when I was new and didn't know what it meant. So I just recently made a new character that would start from scratch and be my new main. Well I almost reached 31, and deleted my STF main to make my 31 my new main for the sole purpose of selling the loompoint. Well apparently I can't do this and just wasted 2 weeks with this character that can't access the market, and I no longer have my STF anymore. Honestly i'm about to give up. Am I just fucked?

Probably.
Unless you make your case clear and take it to some people who can do things for you, providing a "please" and such. You could maybe see them on irc.
But all this is supposition.

Else : No, there is no known and available-for-players way to make an alt a main.
