Me and Rohy were having a discussion about HA and it's pros and Cons.
What I Know:
Being mounted is a -60% damage penalty with ranged weapons
HA reduces that by 10% each time(i.e. it's a +10% for each one)
Can some shed some light on this?
-
just doesent seem true to me.. meaning if you go from 0 ha to 5 that would be a +50 to your damage.. just seems very untrue..
and being on the ground seems like they all do the same damage no matter how much ha you use
-
Yeah I'm positive damage isn't that drastic. 60% Accuracy, on the other hand, is much more believable.
-
agreehd

I've heard that it's actually a 40% damage reduction. So 4 HA would put you at 0% damage reduction.
-
- Without horse archery a mounted thrower or bowman does 20% less damage. Each point of horse archery reduces this penalty by 1.9% (percentile units). At 10 HA the damage is 99% of normal.
- Horse archery reduces accuracy penalty of mounted ranged combat by 10% and reduces damage penalty of throwing weapons and bows while horseback by 1.9% per point (10 points being equal to 99% of non-mounted damage)

l2look at stickies.
The original source of damage is some crap cmp posted about the damage determination. The original source of the accuracy I don't remember, but it doesn't tell you how much being mounted affects, it tells you how much that penalty is reduced.

so 1 HA is a 2% increase to damage slowly bringing you back up to normal damage...
-
Well you do need 6 agi for 1 HA so maybe a 10% increase in damage is accurate... Especially if you really do lose 50 or 60% just by being on a horse.
