As the title says. For the uninformed, those standards are weapons with no attack acting like a polearm. When equipped they heal a small amount of hp (3% of ones max hp) every 3 seconds, to all allied players except the player using the standard.
The amount healed, and whether it should be percentages, or just a static amount, could of course be changed, if it is unbalanced this way.
This would give some much needed tactics to cRPG, since it would make better sense to stick with a flag carrier in a larger group. Also battles would look nicer, and more organised this way (even though they are not). Please only serious comments :)

Let's add magical wizard staffs that shoot fireballs too.
-
Just get some guys together and build a healing tent.

I'd be happy with this if it cost a fair chunk of change to buy/use/repair the standard. Though it certainly wouldn't reinvent gameplay (we don't want it to anyway), it would give a good default means for non-guild players to fight in group on a battlefield without flooding the chat. If you give it the same length and stats as a bamboo spear I'd think it would be quite balanced as a weapon too. And really, 2 points of health per 3 seconds is not that much (or whatever it would be). The other main use would be in street/hallway fighting where throwers are tossing stuff back and forth while 2h/polearm players look for an opening. A small hp bonus would build some confidence in the non-shielded players and encourage more active combat.
Also, hopefully, it would look cool.

This idea of the battle standard sounds excellent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltLA22xZuf0 Men can do more when they have a common goal.

+ 1 Would be awesome. Are the standards just the banners in full form though like the whole 132 X 330 pic of the current banners?
-
In Vikingr they are seperate models. To me though, the important thing is to get these into the game mainly for the gameplay more than looks - other people should decide the models/textures :)

I don't like the end of that video...
On topic:
Standards would be great! +1

Battles would look much more better and it would definitely create more opportunity in tactics. +1

Yes.

I think a standard should increase damage or speed for people near by, as it is supposed to be a inspirational symbol
-
Add standards but with 0 effects. If they dont inspire your team as they are then too bad for you to be in a sucky team.
-
Make pikes and heavy lances with national colours on them (Sarranid, Nord, etc.). That way any player, footman or horsemen, could buy the set and anyone can lead who wants to. Any tangible bonuses would be too weird to implement, I imagine, though a modder could probably correct me on that.
-
erhmm dude, its already in the Vikingr mod (which is multiplayer), so why would it be weirder with cRPG?
And the guy who said "then you just need a better team" you obviously just want cRPG to stay the same, so what does your opinion matter anyway..
i don't mean to be rude, it's just, i think its a shame that so many people are ruining the Suggestions Corner with stupid/negative comments instead of constructive ones.

So we should artificially make sure that teams dont suck. So sucky teams dont lose as easily? No thx.
-
Well no, the buffs would be quite minor. If we used the 3% hp every 3 sec. i originally suggested, then the stronger team would still easily be able to kick the weak teams ass. In combat, attacks usually take around 20-100% of ones hp depending on their skills/weapon and your hp/armor, so basicly, it wouldn't change much, if the teams were completely unbalanced

No, already have healing tents
-
No we don't.
EDIT:
So, any chance this will get implemented?
