Title: Intelligent/learning music player for android
Post by: chadz on April 25, 2012, 04:20:41 pm
So I hope someone can help me out here. For some reason, I simply can't find the type of music player for my android phone that I need. There is just one feature that i desperately need:

I usually dump lots of files on it, and would like the player to figure out what songs I like and which ones not. It should make a ranking based on when I skip a song. Every time that happens, it gives it a negative ranking. So after some time I'd like to only hear the music that I like, and eventually delete those songs that I don't like and make room for new songs.

I'd think this should be some pretty basic feature, but I can't find an app like that. WTF?

L2Java (if you don't already know it) make it yourself, and maybe sell it on Google Play. That's within your grasp isn't it? If you can't find an existing program that does it you've found a niche. :D

Doing the whole music player from the beginning? Sounds... well challenging to say the least... Might be also tricky to sell just an extention for existing player me thinks... But if I'd do it only for my own use, I'd probably take some open source player and modify it to my likings (if there even is one).

Sry I don't know much about androids (or any other mobile environments for that matter) and probably just spoil this thread... Might be just best to buy the Nokia with Linux OS (unlimited possibilities :D).

I really doubt that any player has this feature. You might consider using a player with last.fm-Scrobbling support and look into the scrobbling stats afterwards which songs you played most. Still you'll have to sort them on your own.

Just curious, but does this have any relation with this (http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,30710.0.html)?
The system is pretty much the same. qmu=let it play, qmd=skip it, tada!!!
