Title: How did this guy throw so fast?
Post by: callahan9119 on April 22, 2012, 10:17:52 pm
I was playing siege and there was this guy just murdering people with throwing hammers. I mean the moment you dropped your shield he would whip these things point blank and I'd have two stuck in my head before I knew what happened. Is throwing WPF what effects that? I have heavy axes and they are listed as faster than those hammers, but when I throw them it's as if I'm under water they go so slow, where this guys where just flying.

Does WPF effect accuracy as well?

I was reading a long thread about it and I got that all it did was effect your PT requirements after the armor penalties, so I was unsure.

I think PT hs something to do with range and speed of throwing weapons... I'm not sure though  :|

pretty sure PT increases missile speed.  PT9 guys can throw some blazing fastballs

Yes. PT increases missile speed. First gen using PT 4 and the difference from 4 - 5 is noticeable(3 gens as PT 5). With PT 5 I could aim almost directly at the person, only slightly where they are moving. Just in case they changed direction, I'd still hit. With PT4 I have to aim directly at where they will move to or else i'll miss because my axe is slow as molasses. Small difference, but noticeable.
