It's no joke. I use a fauchard now, and many people fall for that jump+slashes. If you know how to use them.

I do not obviously, what do you do exactly?
Jump and slash in the air?
People can't block it or something?

Many people can't. Hit, keep your distance a bit, then jump and slash. Or hold your side swing, move to the opposite direction of your swing around your foe, suddenly jump and slash. Profit.

You're not going to want much armor with the fauchard. It's low damage so you need to be able to keep people at range as long as possible. It's also very useful to be able to run if you see more enemies coming, since you won't be able to kill them fast enough before you get swarmed. Basically the lower the better here, possibly around the level of tribal armor.

Just watch out for ranged, they'll annihilate you if you don't get the jump on them.
