Title: game frequently stops responding when alt tab out

any ideas for fixes? really anoying when I am x5

windows 64 bit and 8gb ram. never had it back with my 2gb ram in xp.

Try to use alt+return to switch into windowed mode first.

Crashed tons when alt-tabing with dx9 and HDR. Haven't crashed for a long time since switching to highest settings dx7. 8-)

1st go to windowed mode with alt+enter - then you can alt tab all you want you will never crash in windowed mode

If you're using steam and are just alt tabbing to check the website, go for shift tab and use the steam browser.
