Title: Removing rain effeсts and penaltys!
Post by: Old_Sir_Agor on April 16, 2012, 02:53:38 am
I suggest removing rain effects on dmg, speed, and weapon speed, thats why:
1)90% of players dont like it
2) it ruins arbalesters gameplay totaly, because you need so much bolts to kill ppl , that it is just insane.
3) it brings unbalance(for agi players -rain is bs, less speed dmg bonus, less footspeed make they pretty fucked, and it all give favor to str armored players)
4) 1 from 2 maps is rain usually, im as arbalester fucked, so when i have time to play i cant, because i do shit low dmg.

and again no 1 like it, and again i cant understand why ranged have this dmg penalty, it is not easier to aim at rain at all.
balance team come on, make your brain ON

but rain is unbalance, for str players rain means not much, but for ranged and many agi players it ruins gameplay. how balance team explain it? why they make disbalance? and rain is like 5 times more ofthen then fog, why?

Does rain also affect cavalry? If not so, then it should. Muddy ground definitely makes horses less useful. I've been reading today Clausewitz, and he mentioned of this fact in his book as an example among many factors in a war.

Kill em with your tiny little sword then.

Well I think rain affects in every player. Slowing down horses, footmen running etc... Ofc I can be totally wrong.

Actually it's based on damage done

Rain is fine

I mow down 10 people in a round and dont get valour, i do absolutely nothing but hide till im last and get it. From my experience its based on being one of the last ones alive and is probably randomized when that condition is met. However im just speculating since the exact formula isnt known to me. In many situations when i make a last stand and kill a few more there is still a chance i dont get it. Or when im low lvl and want to keep my multi i literaly stay last with peasent gear dealing no dmg to anyone and i get valour.

Try it for a few rounds, do no dmg just make sure you are the last one alive and you will have a good chance to get it.

with last valour system reworking you cant have valour with just being last1alive, if you dont kill any1 or made no dmg = you dont get valour. im sure
with this allday random rain i will rework my build i suppose.

It often happens when you are one of the last in battlefield, and also have to be shown good prowess in battle. That's it I suppose. Yet it was funny when I had to be afk in siege server for 1 minute and when I returned I saw that I got the message of valour :)

Rain is essential.
But it could rain less often, indeed.
