Please, can you disable spectating of enemies. Since most of the people are using TS, I find this as pretty big advantage because dead clan mates can gave away someones position. Sometimes that can decide the round. Most games have this disabled.

+1
Ghosting is bad and in most games with multiplayer it is almost always removed. Why it hasn't been removed from this game yet or why it was even put in in the first place is beyond me.

suggestion to strategus, Don't allow spectators to strategus battles, they can spy the enemyteam and tell where they are going and fuck up their super seacret plans.
-
Playing alot of games like counter strike where ghosting is a problem, I fail to see how it could be an issue in mount and blade.
You don't have guns that can instantly kill people and everyone can hold the ~ key to look all around them at all times, hardly see how any ambush can take place in this game, its more like oh hey I see you now I either engage you in melee dodge your arrows hear your hoofsteps or I'm already using ~ and can see this lancer coming behind me.
Now a game like counter strike I can be appearing my head up in long hall on office and get awped and die instantly. This could have been prevented by a dead teamate telling me a sniper was watching that hallway, but even in counter strike not all servers have locked spectating.
Ghosting could have some effect in crpg but I believe it would actually matter so little it wouldnt even matter or change the battle. Crpg is more about watching the superstars fight whether they are on your team or not and being able to see a battle unfold, this is suppost to be more of two armies fighting eachother shouting curses instead of people camping corners with automatics and sniper rifles armed with flashbangs.
Now strategus? maybe it could effect the outcome with more strategized play, but even still whether you ambush a guy or not you get no bonus for charging someone if they block you will still have to fight them in melee and defend and attack, unless your a ninja from behind or have some cavalry waiting in an odd position or ranged? The players will still be able to register you so fast I don't think it would phase their performance.

Try sneaking up on someone from behind who happens to be playing at same time as his clanmates. Chances are, that person is going to get alerted to your sneak attack by his dead clanmates. It can also spoil ambushes and other plans when dead people tell others where your teammates are on the map and what not. There is no reason for it to be there in my honest opinion.

There's always the possibility a leecher will be hiding in a corner. Since admins aren't on 24/7 ghosting his position becomes a good alternative to end the round.
IMO leeching is a bigger problem than ghosting in this game.

This is always disabled in clanbattles and such, but disabling it on the public servers isnt really worth it.
-
what now that????
no
-
Dont ruin our jedi skills :!: :!:

As someone who uses that feature often, it would be nice and help even the playing field.
However, spectators in battle mode might be extremely bored if you did toggle that feature on, as they would be stuck where they died.
+1 to the idea.
-
Hell no, I fly around in spectator mode after I die and take screenshots of awesome corpses.
-
As much as i would like it removed, for tactical reasons, i just love flying around the floor pretending i am a snake stalking knights in a field.
it would make me a very bored dead man
-
really... really, making being dead even more boring.
Why don't we just make the screen black out, or force first person on the corpse. yay

I thought there was an option to spectate players from your team only, why not do that instead of disabling it completely?
-
That's what I'm asking for. Not disabling it completely.

If that is possible then do why the hell havent they done that yet :?:
