Title: Does anyone like night time? [Poll]

Just outta curiosity here but does anyone actually like night time? For me personally it's MUCH harder to see (hurr hurr that's the point cause it's dark) but honestly I don't see a point to it. I shouldn't have to struggle to see in the game. I have contrast ingame maxed and my monitor at 80.

I lose track of attack directions on most weapons unless their huge but the smaller weapons are difficult. I've talked to a few others who also feel the same. What are your guys thoughts on it?

Edit - Maybe dev's can make night time a litte lighter? or remove it.....either is fine by me.

To contrast this, I enjoy Nighttime, makes it a little bit of a difference (obviously) but also how you're able to move, the tactics you use when fighting, even some people will actually change attire to be a little bit more "with the night"

I dunno, I like it though!

My only problem with it is losing track of weapons even with max contrast. The shaders in the game are horrible.

The dark maps are really annoying for me because i use a shitty CRT monitor which picks up glares very easily, and the dark maps just emphasize it even more.

i don't mind it, set your gamma to compensate

if you use hdr make sure to use auto exposure to keep stuff from being too dark or bright

I think night time is ugly as hell. It doesn't make it much harder for me to see personally ( although sometimes it makes some weapons annoying to block/see feints properly ) but most of all it just makes my game look ugly as hell. It doesn't add any camoflague or make it easier for people to flank and sneak around, because I can still see that Ninja 400 metres away 'flanking' at the edge of the map. So overall it seems pointless and only serves to be 1. Ugly 2. Annoying.

Only against people with older monitors. Anyone else sees you just fine. So you are just fooling yourself, or wanting night time for an advantage against players who can't overcome the technical issue. It's like insisting that it adds to the excitement by tying the shoelaces together of a kid you want to race, when everyone else has lace-less shoes.

Night time should be removed from the game.
I can't see what weapons people are using from distance and I can't see incoming projectiles.
And dueling in melee is 100% harder.

I have no problem with night, the same as I have no problem with rain or fog. It's part of the game, and an enjoyable alternative to day.

I use the best definitions on a good computer and love to play on night time.

I don't get the fuzz, just adjust gamma etc.

I enjoy night, and fog, and even the occasional martian sandstorm (if you have seen it, you know of what I speak).  But all things in moderation.  Three night maps in a row or three fog maps in a row as I have seen recently annoys people.

I definately wish night and weather to remain, but I understand that some people do not agree.  If it were only one in every four or five maps, perhaps we could find a balance.

But to answer, I love night time. It's harder for people to see my lengthy pike ram into their face.

That's my problem is sometimes you lose track of certain weapons.  I struggle more at night time than in the super dense fog (because in the fog you still are up close to people when you fight and their weapons don't "disappear" like in night time). 

Seeing attack directions is important, and at night my eyes hurt from the strain of staring so intently at my monitor.

Pretty much what crazy said right there. We shouldn't have to stuggle in order to block an attack due to not being able to see clearly.

Fog is completely different. I can see whats in front of me fine.

I actually know a few who who have said to me "Gonna get off - tell me when the map isn't night time." or just didn't want to play on the server when it was night time.

I fucking hate the night, I don't get why anyone would enjoy it, it just makes everything more difficult for no reason.

It's tolerable in "City" maps with lots of artificial lighting, though.

I totaly agree. It's so much harder to fight. I just can't see my opponent's weapon and in what direction it's swinging... Everything I do in night time is dying.

Trying to fight against a steel pick at night (especially with someone who feints well like San) is probably the only time I instantly reach for for Alt-F4. Just can't see the fucking thing.

I don't like the fact that there is no low populated EU battle server without night time besides the level 20 server.
This "tactical move" or ignorance by the crpg team and admins has without a doubt caused decreasing numbers of crpg players.

Nighttime is ok in my book.. the fog on the other hand is very annoying. Just leads to sheep running around not finding eachother and backstabbing.
