Spot the mistake and earn a cookie!
(Would be nice if someone owning a +3 Espada could tell us if this little mistake is also present ingame)
-
+3 peirce and +2 cut instead of +3 cut and +2 pierce?

Close

Even long espada gets more pierce than cut when loomed.
I kinda like this difference over the other swords.
[Edit]
I think the mistake is +3 in thrust but only +2 in swings, long espada gives +3 in thrust and swings.

Correct! Every 1h/2h/polearm receives +3 damage to swings and/or stabs/overheads at masterwork. Judging from the information on the website, the espada eslavona lacks 1 damage on the swings when masterworked.

Not true m8, usualy weapons gain 3 to cut and 2 to pierce, for example like my mw knightly arming sword which normaly has 24 pierce and 31 cut, MW version has 26 pierce and 34 cut.
The gain on the espada is the same in terms of the overall dmg points, only difference is that it gains more pierce than cut.

Best characteristic receive +3, worst +2. This weapon main purpose is thrust attack. Almost all 1handers main purpose is swing attack, that's why they receive +3 to swing and +2 to thrust.
Scottish sword receive +3 to thrust and swing. Nerf! NOW! Immediately!
Heh, my long dagger receive +3 to thrust and swing too. No need to nerf.

Checked it and it looks like I've missed that completely. I was always under the impression it was +3 for everything.
Anyway, the long espada get's +3 on both the swing and the stab and the regular espada just +2 on the swings.
I still wonder why most weapons get +3 on both stats and some weapons miss out on 1 point of damage. Doesn't make sense imo.
-
I'd prefer more variations based on the weapon honestly.
Say weapons like cleavers and axes having a different modifier than hammers or picks.
-
The weight didn't change? Should it get slightly heavier?
-

Incorrect. Stab oriented weapons such as spears get +3 to stab and +2 to swing, for good reason. Swing oriented weapons get +3 to stab and +2 to stab, also, with good reason. Balanced weapons, such as side sword get +3 to both as they are pieces of shit and should be buffed :).
-
Should be +3 to both, like the Side Sword and the Long Espada and the Scottish sword.
-
Katana only gains +1 to thrusts (+3 swings), so I don't see what the fuss is all about. It's not a static + something for all heirlooms. It depends on the weapon.
-
Katana is for noobs anyway.
-
Yeah, but the thrust is really a farce. I mean, I hate the Katana, but really, 17 pierce on MW, less than anything else. Even a fucking regular light spiked club has more pierce damage. Or a dart.
+3 pierce and +1000 gold.
-
I did not intend to make this in to a buff katana thread. It's off-topic and the low pierce doesn't bother me much(never been much of a stabber). I merely wished to point out that not all weapons have the same heirloom bonus values.

This pretty much. Those weapons are VERY similar to the espada eslavona, but get a different bonus.
Maybe it's because the high stab (33 pierce on MW level). Who knows?
I don't have a +3 espada, so I'm not really bothered by the difference, it's just something I found curious.

buff katana!
